I've been using castor oil on my dry elbows for about 2 months (when doing my face skin routine and have no glasses on). I have a 46 year old puckered scar from elbow surgery when I was 12. I been using Gold Bond Age Renewal Retinol for close to an year.. Does nothing to my stretch marks...But I continue to use this every night coz it makes my skin really soft. Also used Neutrogena Hydroboost close to 4 -5 months.. Again pretty useless with stretch marks. This is my honest review and not trying to discredit Dr Dray. Im covered in stretch marks, have been since i was a young teenager and theyve all been white now for about ten years. My arms' stretchmarks were very deep and essentially like craters in my arms. I found that i saw some improvement in that depth visually from just normal moisturiser (Nivea Q10 60+- im 31 but my skin is probably similar to mature skin in that sense). I then switched to Versed Body Retinol and it has helped a bit more. They are absolutely still there and still very visible, they just dont feel as deep or like your fingers dont get caught up on them if you run your hand along them anymore. So again, they are still very much there and visible. But helping the skin overall by moisturising it and then adding the retinol lotion has helped with the feel of them to my fingertips and they are now not as crater like as they were before but they are still deep stretch marks. Your mileage may vary but even if it just helps with the way the overall skin feels, it was definitely worth it to me. And i dont have more than a few square inches total of normal arm skin, its almost all deep stretch marks.
@Courtannica4 ай бұрын
Do you put the retinol on first and then a moisturizer?
@BexREB4 ай бұрын
@Courtannica So it's a combined product that I'm using now, so it's just a moisturiser with retinol in it from the company Versed. But I did initially do the retinol product with a moisturiser on top but I had trouble getting it to spread because of the divots. The combined product was a lot easier to use
