Ignore the haters. You’re not “fear mongering” , You’re educating. Since I started following you this summer not only has my skin improved, but I’ve found a number of “holy grail” products all based on your recommendations. I don’t like spending a ton of money on skincare, and I really appreciate that you recommend affordable stuff. Please just keep on doing what you’re going!

As someone who suffers with MCAS, Eczema, asthma and such, oh boy do I appreciate your reviews. So true story, my partner and I used to suffer so bad..hives, rashes, night scalp itching. We were put on antihistamines from the doctor, oh it was a nightmare.. And then we found your videos and due to your advice, we identified the culprit...we were using Faith in Nature 'cleanbeauty' lavender shampoo. THAT was the culprit. We switched to Eucerin and FOB shampoos and gosh, the relief! Wouldn't have thought it was the fragrance component in the shampoo if you hadn't have said. I don't understand why people get so upset with you for pointing out something that can truly help someone else. It's like they can't handle the fact others have differing experiences. Strange. I'm sorry you get some grief but you are so strong and intelligent and I'm so glad for you and your channel. Happy Saturday x

I get chest pains from anyTHING lavender. It doesn’t matter how pure a essential oil is or if I’m near the plant itself. No hives, no watery eyes at all. I’ve got M.C.S. No matter how much I like a brand or a lot of products from that brand I love that you speak about them all the same. Your product reviews are awesome and are extremely helpful especially because you point out good ingredients for the skin but also point out that those same ingredients can irritate others. I’m 45, i wasn’t really into Barbie but adored Strawberry Shortcake. My mother was an alcoholic and threw out all my toys when I moved in w my dad at age 13. I gravitate to old school Strawberry Shortcake to this day! Beyond irritated w myself that I didn’t buy one when I saw Target stocking them for the holiday a few yrs back. People younger than their 30s-40s are really missing out on a lot of amazing nostalgia/memories of how things used to be. I consider myself blessed in that regard.

A hair brush cleaning hack that I’ve found works is to fill your sink with enough hot water to cover your hairbrush. Then put a swifter dry sweeping sheet (great value works too) in the hot water with the hairbrush and let it sit 5 minutes. Then take the sheet and wipe across brush and hair and any products etc come off in a couple wipes. I have long hair and struggled all my life till I found this hack. 😊. GenX here, and yes I remember every single one of those mall stores!! One of my high school jobs was at Orange Julius 😂 going to the mall was a frequent activity, every weekend, just to hang out sometimes. Spencer's gifts lol, so much cheesy junk. I'm pretty sure I got my ears pierced at the mall in one of those kiosks, when I was in 8th grade. I'm from Seattle so Nordstrom was of course a big local business and the best department store in the mall. My favorite was Waldenbooks, had to go there and pick up a bunch of paperbacks! It might sound counterintuitive for someone who likes to just run in places with the bare minimum, but as a bag lover, I would recommend considering adding an LL Bean tote. So please hear me out lol. You can use a pouch, clutch, crossbody even to tuck inside of it to carry your essentials. You grab that to run in and out quickly. And then you use the tote for when you want to carry more, either in or out of the store, in and out of your home, it doubles as a shopping bag. These totes are super lightweight but incredibly strong, you can get in a variety of sizes, strap lengths, zipper/no zipper, trim colors, and you can customize them with names or initials if you wish. They are easy to clean (I blast mine off with a hose once a year and let them dry in the sun). And they are a fashion classic, absolutely cannot go wrong having one. Those scented candles would easily be carried in an LL Bean tote 🙂 As I mentioned you would generally use a smaller bag inside, but for more organization you can get a bag organizer for it.

As someone with VARY sensitive skin, I adore any info about what might set my progress back for a month. 🙌 The WFPB diet (when I stick to it and don’t venture into junk food vegan) is what took me from my entire body itching so bad I couldn’t even sleep at night to a manageable condition (whatever it is). I was eating a low carb mostly meat and greens diet thinking it would fix my skin and it was actually the animal products wrecking it. Also, I can SO relate to asking questions because I genuinely want to know the reason for something and being shutdown as if the question itself is disrespectful. As an adult I make a point to never treat children that way and to actually have reasons for any rules.

❤️ the car wash was fun! I don’t remember it looking that cool from inside my own car😁. Please keep making us aware of the effects certain ingredients may have. If someone loves a product and has no problem, then they should appreciate their good luck! I love scented candles and have recently splurged on some Bertioli ones from Thyme in England. Candles haven’t been an issue in stores but their music has made me leave occasionally 🤣. Perfumes in an office environment are awful when you’re stuck beside them all day. Love your content 💝🇨🇦

The dash diet is great because it’s very easy to follow. I was in a study where we were required to follow it as a control variable. (The study wasn’t about diet, it was about hormones.) it’s a great way to ensure you’re getting adequate nutrition in a balanced diet!

I miss Border Books so much. Used to wander and checked out the books on the tables. So easy to pick up a good book. B&N left my neighborhood, people were using it as a library and the books looked all fingered over and gross. Teenagers doing their homework there too.

The reason I have any interest at all in your reviews is that you understand ingredients and formulations, and how they interact with the skin. I could care less about how Influencers “feel” about the crap they’re paid to hawk. Learning about chemicals, formulations, skin science…is priceless.

Don't listen to those haters. I suffered from acne and since I started watching you, my acne ha cleared up soo much. Thank you for your free advice. I switched to all fragrance free skincare and I am on point with my sunscreen. The one I love and discovered because of you is the australian gold tinted sunscreen. It's great and affordable. I love affordable skincare. Love watching your videos and will only buy stuff that you recommend. Why? Because it works. Some youtubers recommend stuff and they don't even know what they are using but because it's expensive they think it's good.

Yup, I'm sure I'm older but I remember those mall stores too. In my mall cruisin days there was Baker Shoes, May D&F, Fashion Gal... I can remember my two year old brother making me stand outside Spencer's when he went in. It was too risqué for me but ok for him He was probably 14 and I was 12, lol. They wouldn't allow kids to go all the way to the back of the store where the really bad stuff was, lol

I have awful KP on my cheeks. It’s never gotten better with age, I worked for a derm (at a prestigious med school), and nothing helped. I even tried PDL while working there. The only thing that’s helped is following your recommendations. I appreciate your opinions so much.

Fragrances are a huge problem for me, particularly at work where I can’t get away. Most give me a headache, nausea, and exacerbate my asthma. Also, I’ve noticed that people take it personally when politely asked not to wear fragrance at work due to my issues. One co-worker told me that I should take an antihistamine before work every day, so she could continue to wear her perfume to work. 🤔

I love your vlogs, Andrea! My friends always tease me because I LOVE running errands, browsing the grocery store, window shopping but not buying anything 😂 I feel like we'd get along! Also, I went to university with someone whose family owned a majority of the Build a Bear company; those people must have made some serious money in the early 2000s

I love when bath and body has those candles for $10 each just before Christmas. The store is always bonkers that weekend. They make great teacher gifts, and they give you a clear gift bag and bow to wrap it up super cute.

Hey Dr. Dray - I am dealing with a lot of hair ( trying to grow longer) and my stylist recommended the Moroccan Oil flat paddle brush. The bristles are soft and they work well in removing my normal 100 - 200 hairs before I wet/shampoo my hair. Similar to your paddle brush, I don’t think you can remove the base to clean. Otherwise, I absolutely love it. Enjoy your night!
