►About the Game -
You play as Catheryn Barnett. On your way to see your parents your car dies down and you decide to cut through the forest to the town. You think you know the way but it gets dark really quickly and you don't know where you are...until you find a farm thinking you can call for help but soon you realize you are being hunted by someone or something...
Your objective in Dread of Laughter is to survive the attack of a serial killer who is lurking around the house trying to get to you as well as completing objectives that will either help you or the killer? Which objective is worth doing to save yourself? Only you can decide. Some objectives will make the killer stronger and therefore make the game harder, and some will make it easier for the player. All the objectives are randomly generated so you will never know which one will help you.
There is multiple ways to beat the game as well as multiple ways to get killed. Every decision you make has to be made with care as you never know what the killer has in store for you. Will you try and fix the generator outside in the barn to get the lights working so you don't have to rely on your flashlight? Or will you rather try and find the phone jammer he has set to block your calls? Every decision you make will change the course of the game. But whatever you do...don't stay in the dark for too long.

Ok maybe this game isn't perfect but the voice acting sure is. Gotta admire the lengths those people went to to keep themselves fed, dragging victims up massive ladders to keep them imprisoned in the barn even though they have a massive cellar.

The game is not awfully terrible. It is still can quite entertaining. At least to watch it. The dead bodies brought a nice touch to the game. The game does have many annoying glitches and an obvious bug with that door at the end of the video. The main character is certainly as dumb as f***. Her constant knocking on doors (poor controls) and her “Someone, please help me!” right after she escaped the house were ludicrous. Yet, I would watch some more of this. Sometimes glitches can be a part of fun. xD.

OMG... I knew thing seem familiar.... this game is heavily using an Unreal 4 asset called Horror Engine v1.1 without doing much changes to it, If you look up the asset you'll see the same U.I. and Inventory system, the same inventory items, the TV/VCR, the same valve and switches, same Ladders, heck you'll notice the developer didn't bother to change the thumbnail to the Diary.

LMFAO at that Cam ending, now that I fully watched the video I can tell you that this game is arguably an Asset Flip. Now I say arguably, because I do see some assets have small changes (the butcher enemy asset doesn't come with a clown sack mask), but this is clearly a very lazy put together. It is very obvious that the developer (she might be the voice of the player character) just used the Horror Engine asset and built a Game map around the asset, without doing much to no changes to the programming which is what cause all these bugs and issues.

this video is fantastic, to make such a video for a game like this is genious, even though it might have been not on purpose. By the way, i think the idea was is that you see the corn sign, go to the corn field, this way you unlock the door to the safehouse of somesort, and then the story continues, so occasionally you visit every location in its time. Your charming commenting is what makes your gameplay videos so-so enjoyable. I couldn't agree more with the fact that this game appears to be awesome on the "shelf". Yet, it disappoints so much! The developer should be ashamed of what the price is set at - and definitely didn't test it properly before releasing such bullshit! It's like the whole world (including content from the Google Play Store, Apple iStore and Microsoft Store [wait it's not even worth calling that one a store]) has lost any form of imagination and initiative. All the games are, almost like, made from a template or something because they lack that unique touch some of the older games had. But thank you - for making all of them entertaining. I spend at least four hours a day watching your playthroughs (even if it playing in the background as I work in my office) and simply because of your charming accent and voice - followed by the hilarious comments in between.

I loved the word you used to describe her supposed attitude upon setting out. "Cockily." I think it is spelled correctly. I'd never heard it used that way until you said it. ...its baffling to me that they have a voice actress and don't have her react to bodies and blood...seriously immersion was immediately shattered... another game of wasting battery....it hurts to see. i wish i could take over XD....even has lights on while looking at the map. which it still drains the energy. when there is enough light. don't waste it. not sure why he scared by wood in the basement. can clearly see AND hear that someone is down there. it was another mistake to not go back to the basement and trying to save after making some progress.

Loved the game play and youre an awesome streamer and gamer , only thing that was kinda nail biting is how much you used the lighter lol i know there was a lot of dark areas but some rooms had some lights where you could have turned it off not to mention you stick out so much more running around with it. Kinda gave me anxiety lol and i wanted to close that lighter for you 😆 didnt it say in the beginning of the game to be careful and wise on how much you use the lighter lol ? . Otherwise it was fun to watch
