I had to love how after crushing and spinning that guy to death, the dreadnought rotates his entire torso around to really put some sauce on the body as he hurls it as the enemy.
@yesirindeed14182 ай бұрын
Varellus unfortunately did succumb to his injuries and was laid to rest. It seems to be a common misconception he was interred due to the dreadnaught we see having the similar name of Valtus
@JPooger2 ай бұрын
I did wonder. Cause they had a memorial for varellus. I'm like...they don't do it like that. Being interred into a dreadnought is a huge honor so it would be very public
@JoeMaMa-lz3rd2 ай бұрын
There is a separate conversation after varellus's death between a mechanicus tech adept/priest and a servitor that heavily implies he is the "Honoured brother" that we see in the armoury being fitted to a dreadnought.

"even in death i still serve, my body broke by my will is eternal"; out of all the weapons in 40k the Assault cannon is by far, one of my favorites; I'm also so glad they didn't treat the Dreadnaught like a tank but more like what its meant to be, with how the dreadnaugyht shilded his sarcofagus is another minor detail that can be missed but brings so much to the character. lets not also forget, one of the few people who wounded a Demon primarch, folrgim, not only physically but also spiritaly and his ego was a the Dreadnought Rylanor; rumor has it that fulgrum is still recovering from that.

Again people tend to forget that just because they’re massive doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re slow and considering that many space marines are combat veterans of a hundred plus years worth of experience their skills, talents and abilities are honed to a razors edge, again imagine if say you were trained to use a knife and so for many people it might take them years?, now compare your year long knife training against a shaolin monk who’s been training all of their lives and not only that but their abilities and skills which again has been honed for literal centuries be that in the sparing arena or the battlefield, along with the augmentations that their body also possess such as their increased senses be it smell, touch but especially in the cases of things like hearing and vision, where we things as we typically see them, a space marines vision would be akin to watching a movie in 10k resolution where in the book takers of head, a mortifactors novitiate was able to hear the gravity propulsion unit on a tau stealth drone along with being able to see the outline of a tau sniper whilst the user was cloaked, this along with their higher reaction times makes them incredibly fast, that being said they’re not the most flexible of warriors as any eldar would easily outperform even a Spartan from halo let alone cat woman, combined with their ability of precognition as well as their insane reaction times allowing them to dodge lasbolts with relative ease, and what they lack on mobility they make up for it with pure durability, strength and most importantly ENDURANCE, where even with the likes of doom guy who’s perpencity for stopping in order to get his breath back to the 40mph speeds of the Spartans even they would eventually suffer from fatigue and even if that wasn’t the case, since space marines are able to shut down parts of their brains one at a time, that also means that they’re able to unsurprisingly stay awake for much longer periods of time which in turn means much longer levels of combat effectiveness, again the most John 117 could theoretically last for would be two to three days nonstop but even that would be pushing it, doom guy could possibly go at it for a week or more, a space marine could go on for a month or even years without the need for any actual sleep before they tire or require any kind of rest which again if you’re being attacked by an army of space marines, you’re going to be attacked 24/7, unlike today or even prior wars, most wars consisted of multiple smaller battles throughout the day and very rarely did any sort of combat was prolonged and rarer was it performed by the same individuals where even in a single battle, units would be periodically switched out in order for their troops to recover and most importantly rest whilst another unit would take up their position instead, or in much older battles where both sides would scout the enemy’s out, set up camp as far away from the enemy as it is possible and the next day fight but even the largest battles such as Waterloo only lasted a day and even then many of the soldiers were severely wounded or extremely exhausted.
