You should add a tip about wearing good shoes when you’re assembling this. I dropped one of the shelves on my foot and almost broke it! I ended up with ice on my foot instead of assembling my box! Maybe sandals were a bad idea? 🤣

Yes good idea. Every piece is quite heavy. We are two small ladies building it and every bundle seems to be a struggle, so good idea to involve a strong man. I think the instructions are not exact or detailed enough, so it needs creative brains.

I’m SO embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even measure my room before ordering. I NEVER do that!🤦‍♀️ Thank goodness it fit, but I will have to make some adjustments to the room. I already have a long and tall craft table that folds down on both sides which I put together (& because of my height, I’m definitely keeping it!). And my new sewing cabinet is still in the box! Not sure where that’s going to go.😅 So very glad I happened upon your channel. I’m now a subscriber. The advice is super helpful! Also absolutely LOVE your crochet sweater!! Did you make it? I crochet, too, so thanks for the inspiration.😊😊😊

Hii!!! I NEVER do either but getting that dream box in that small room has made me a NUT about measuring all kinds of furniture going forward- I transformed my bed room walls because I was getting a new desk and drawer set and let's just say thank goodness i did. HA. ANDDD Yes, I did crochet that sweater and then right after I posted the video i frogged the entire thing and turned it into something else. 😹 Thank you

Best suggestion I have is to NOT EVER TRY to put this together as one person - I don't care how handy you are, or if you are a burly construction worker, DON'T DO IT - GET HELP! I am a very do it yourself person and was a construction worker (Electrician), and even put furniture together for others, including larger IKEA room assemblies, etc. This is bigger and heavier THAN ANY OF THOSE ITEMS and even for me after 3 days to uncrate, bring in the house and put it together, I WAS WORN OUT. DONE. TOAST FOR 3 MORE DAYS. Get at least one other STRONG person to help and if you are in a small space, get a third body to help, it just makes it worse if there isn't much room to work in. The instructions are good, but there is a spot of putting handles on that you really need to do before you add that piece to the cabinet, especially if you are there alone.....I don't care how long your gorilla arms are, it can't be done alone. duct tape doesn't work, and will mark your surface. Don't cheap out and try the IKEA or LOWES copycat versions of this - you will never get it heavy enough to match this, unless you build it to the building and have heavy duty professional cabinets installed. Even then, you won't be able to move it like this, and if you have to move, there is no way to move it easily. This REALLY IS A WELL THOUGHT OUT PIECE for crafting. After construction of the box, I found that when I just loaded stuff, I needed to rearrange a few times to get more of the like items together. I'm still moving stuff around as I use it for the first year now. Don't be afraid or too stubborn to move items around or get creative about how you use it. You can use all the planners you want but don't forget that you can rearrange if you want to - as you use it, it may become more obvious in where you want to put stuff and what you want to put together in one area. Last Tip - Decorate it your way. I have creative sayings on it. Simple and sweet - it's my crafting and creative space.

Thank you for this video. I ordered my dreambox with the drawers and after seeing your video I called and had them removed. Would never have thought about my sewing machine not fitting. I would've been so disappointed if I hadn't watched and listened to your suggestions.

Worst experience of my life. Mine came yesterday with all kinds of missing pieces. How do you organize with missing totes etc? & No ETA

Make sure you have a way to unload it. They attempted to deliver ours yesterday and the freight company expected my husband and I to take a 650 pound crate off the semi at the end of the gravel driveway and get it to my house ourselves. Then they offered to have another employee bring it on his pick up truck so we can get it by the carport, but again, my 60 year old husband and I would have to take it off the truck ourselves. I was not aware that curbside delivery meant they transport it to the end of your driveway and then it’s up to you 🤷‍♀️. So sadly, I had to tell the freight company that they would have to send it back. 😢

I measured before hand and have cleared my space for it and It will take up a whole 11 foot wall ( its 9 feet long when completely open) and has to have 4 feet of clearance to open and close!!! Still waiting for delivery ordered May 24th & today is June 2nd

Hi! On the dream box website there is a template you can download. It's actually just a piece of paper on the front! I used my cricut to cut them out!

Hi! I had every intention on putting the safety straps in - and to be completely honest I forgot about them till I read this comment. With that being said.. my dream box has stayed up right for over two years without any safety strap!

I DEFF Have it somewhere (perhaps even in my crochet binder) I made it in 2018 and I actually took the entire thing apart after I shot this video 😂 it was honestly TOO bulky.. I was a novice crocheter when I did it and Deff used too thick of a yarn. I promise I won't forget to look for the pattern and get back to you!!

So funny you say that because the second I was done filming this video I frogged the entire sweater 🫣 I crocheted it and i was sick of it so I unraveled and then made a scarf and slipper booties out of it😹 thanks for loving it. Super helpful video! Just curious, if you knew you were going to keep it open all the time why would you spend $3000 on a modular furniture piece when you could’ve gotten regular shelving installed for the same price or cheaper?

Haha that's a good question. I actually had every intention of closing it and using the table! What inspired me to make this video was that I did NOT measure correctly! When I got it upstairs I said SHOOT.. this thing is bigger than I imagined in my mind .. and that sort of sounds silly but it's the truth ...this is also something I wanted for a long time and plan on bringing with me when I have a way bigger craft room one day 😇

@@MaddCrafty it really is deceptively huge and will fit a ton of stuff in it. I had to put it in my largest room as it wouldn't fit in my bedrooms - having a 900 sq foot house sucks with this, I can't even have dressers in my bedrooms, they are that small.

For me, it was SO worth it. Being able to SEE where everything is keeps my room organized and super easy to clean! I am in this room every day so it was life changing for my creative brain and energy! It also looks so pretty all displayed next to me!!

No. Missing all my medium totes plus essential parts to put it together. Customer service is lousy . No Videos. Why should the customer have t o join Facebook, Instagram, etc . Company should make a video . This did not help me at all. Just a bunch of rambling.

There is a financing option through Bread. It allowed me to save up a down payment, and finance the rest. I was able to select the length of the loan allowing for affordable monthly payments. Payments do not start until your order ships or 90 days from the order date. Also remember you can add any or all add-on items down the road. This will decrease your initial investment.
