10 years ago, after BMC presented the first team machine, in this time all important races were won with it, among many others the World Championship and Tour de France. We got one of the first BMC SLR01 models and built it for you in this video. The thoroughly aerodynamically optimized frame has become lighter and stiffer and weighs 980g including bottom bracket and all screws. Thanks to the D-Shape seat post and the greater tire clearance, it is much more comfortable to ride. The frame set comes with ICS handlebar stem unit with integrated cables, integrated aero bottle cage and the D-Shape seatpost.
All components in this assembly are balanced so you can easily determine the weight of your dream BMC Teammachine by replacing your desired parts. Tell us, how does your dream BMC Teammachine look like. What kind of groupset would you use, what kind of wheelset would you use and what kind of tires? Tubeless or rather with light rolling latex tubes? Write us in the comments.

@roadbikechannel
@roadbikechannel 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, in this case we used a tool we built ourselves. We screwed a small metal part into the brake cable and attached an inner shift cable. There are many professional tools for the job though ;). For example have a look at this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIapeWaoodB1aqs

Can you please tell us why the video starts with the hydraulic lines already run and the calipers attached? Is this an indication of how hard it is to route these hoses? Does it come this way out-of-the-box?
@roadbikechannel
@roadbikechannel 4 жыл бұрын
With the BMC SLR01 it was very easy to lay the cables, because they mostly run in a channel, there is also a channel in the stem / handlebar, no need for special tools. It is a little bit difficult run the cables thru the headset, but this is the same with all fully integrated cockpits, it is nice to have a second person helping. We usually start with the assembly of the brakes, headset and stem, then we take the frame out of the mounting stand and film the details for the start scene.

@mwittma1371
@mwittma1371 4 жыл бұрын
The DUB Design itself is ok. It uses a displacement preload system which is ok. The Problem is the misalignement of the Frame itself and the fact that you should be shot to sell your Customer a 30/29mm axle in a PF41 frame. A topic for BMC. Not for SRAM. I you want a SRAM group watch out for a 46mm BB hole or that T47 Standard
