In Chrono Cross, Schala/the Time Devourer can be defeated the conventional way, but doing so gets you the bad ending. If you perform a much more complicated and very specific sequence of actions, however, you are able to defeat the final boss by sparing Schala's life, and this gets you the good ending. Weird, this concept sounds awfully familiar for some reason...

@FwugRadiation I'm tempted to say the same pan flute they used for schala's theme anyway but this is biased by my love of pan flutes and I don't think it would sound good at this tempo. I'll also avoid saying violin/viola which imo is the ultimate lead instrument FOR EVERY SONG, obviously. I don't really remember CT's sounds too well but something on the bassy side would've worked better, I think. but lol thats just my opinion
