Dream forest near my cottage

I discovered a dream forest near my cottage - an acacia forest in full bloom. Join me for a relaxing walk in the black locust tree forest. I'm picking wild edible flowers and drying them for tea. I will also teach you how to prepare acacia flower soda - a sweet fragrant fermented drink.

Yes, our forests are wonderful. Our poets always wrote about them, our simple people sang songs about them, talked to them. We are very attached to the forests and consider them our brother/sister. Your black locust forest reminded me of my youth while growing up in New York State. I recall walking amidst whole stands of this lovely tree. In New Mexico (where I now live) we have the New Mexico locust tree, but it doesn't grow in the same abundance as your black locust forest. The New Mexico locust tree resembles more alike a large bush than a tall standing tree. That said, you have just posted a work of art! I know that this is a video, but it seems more like a series of still paintings or photographs, each frame displaying its own artistic integrity. A pleasure to watch it. My favorite part of this video is when you’re walking up to the well & stop momentarily to look up to the sky, while you’re holding your hat on your head. Btw: living in a semi-rural region, I too love strolling through the woods here, watch wildlife and sometimes collect berries, nuts, or mushrooms. I now had to google "locust" - as for me it translated to "Heuschrecke" or grasshopper. You bought me up to something new, as that special tree is not found in my area, and its bloom and fruit obviously are useful on a lot of purposes. Thank you!

It is wonderful to see all your hard work of digging planting all come to life, And the walk in the forest was just amazing, the white horse was like oH WOW for me, do try and collect some of the fallen branches from one tree and remove leaves and cut down branch, and boil them separate and see if you can make a dye from it, I used onions skins once and just amazing. 아까시 꽃을 차로 만들어 마시기도 하는군요. 우리나라는 아까시 꽃을 튀겨먹기도 하고, 소주를 부어두었다가 요리용 술로 만들어 사용하기도 하고, 설탕을 부어서 발효시켜 마시기도 합니다. 좋은 것을 배웠네요.

What you call Locust, in my country (USA), they are called Wisteria, and the fragrance is unbelievable. I have seen them in white, pink, and purple. They are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.

Wisteria is a different plant. I have wisteria too in my garden - pink and purple. It's a different plant, but indeed the flower clusters are similar.
