Love seeing flipping South African style, i.e. REAL walls coming down! Didn't really get that 60s and 70s feel on the outside - until the albums came out! Nothing says 60s like blue facia boards and 70s like white walls and orange stone foundations. Love it! The old photos make telling and continuing the story of the house even more special. This is a fantastic series, can't wait for next time.

great. so many points. 12:13 reusing the tiles (good), even the truss & roof tiles are saved. the point of plastering from the foundation to prevent the damp (i have this issue on my wall. great point). the only bad thing is the bird calls are gone since the construction noises have scared the birds. 0:51 the bird call (i love it) this bird is only heard in south africa. i love this channel.

So the rising damp is caused by that?Our house is not plastered from foundation ..only 4-5 bricks after the foundation they started the plastering

A marriage is not easy folks. Especially in the first few years. 2 very different people with different ideas coming together. She is not going to like everything you do in the process, but a little bit of trust in the man and she will be blown away. He knows his stuff and she needs to believe in him to make him feel like he's the man with the plan and has her support. Not easy for her to see the fireplace gone, and the trees... but keep trusting the man you chose. That's how men feel they are loved.
