Destiny is all there was, is and will be in all of existence, Death is every beginning and end, Dream is all abstraction and conceptualization (which in DC contains the collective unconscious and makes all reality, realms and cosmic abstracts possible), Destruction is straight up change between destruction and creation, Desire is the will behind the functions of all things and moves everything foward by want or hate, Despair does exactly the opposite and makes everything to crumble and decay but also defines the hope for things to to be lived for, and Delirium is all experience and perception, monopolizes consciousness. The choice of words is ni casual, since The Endless extends in that logic to sentinent beings, artificial intelligences, vegetable life, ideas, dimensions and even objects.
