I was 18 and homeless, living out of my car, working full time, going through school full time and would shower and use wifi at the gym. when I was scared and cry I would play this video, when I couldn’t finish the last rep, I would play this video, when I came face to face with adversity that I believed I could never overcome, I would listen to this video. I watch this video every morning when I get up for school it reminds me everyday why I'm working so hard , why I stay up late nights , why I cry , get depressed but nothing changes that desire of want . I want to be successful . That is all I want . I believe I can do it . The beginning of this video always hits me when he says "God why does this happen to me ? I'm not trying to steal or rob anybody . Why does this have to happen to me ? " I ask myself that all the time but I know and trust God . All my hard work will be paid off . ☺️

This particular video helped get through a depressive state caused by a meaningless life, back in 2013. When I watched it, at the the end of December/2023 (I found it somewhere on the internet with someone saying “watch this and have the best year of your life”), all my soul got directed towards what I wanted back in that day: joining a medical school at the end of my high school senior year. I kept it in my heart during the whole year ahead and until may/2015, when I got approved on Med School. Now, I’m a physician, working with psychiatry and psychotherapy everyday. I can easily say that this video was a determinant part of my story. A God’s inspiration to make millions of peoples lives better, directly and indirectly, for sure. Thank you, Mateusz, for everything you’ve done to me. God bless you.

My family is unsupportive of my dream. I told them I was depressed growing up because I had no friends as I went to 10 different schools and 6 different houses. I told them I had social anxiety because I never went out a lot as a kid. My parents would smoke weed everyday since I was 2 in the house while my sister made fun of my for having no friends. I am a 3rd year college student with 3.0 about to transfer and my parents do not believe I can graduate nor will they ever have my back. I told my mom last month that I was depressed and I started to cry, my mom and my sister both laughed at me. NO one has to support your dream. My family hates that I am making it out the ghetto yet I am still making it.

Not sure how many actually read the comments, hopefully it doesn't disappear in the rest of them. I just want to let everyone know, all of you who are chasing something 110%, you are some of the elite few who are striving for something. A lot of people in this world are happy with average. Just look around you. Not everyone you meet has an insatiable hunger to achieve something. And those very people will look at you and say you're obsessed, let them be mediocre until they pass. But we will create a name for ourselves, because we ARE different. But so what, who wants to be normal or average in any case. Keep pushing guys, I have faith I every person who is striving 110% at a certain goal. It WILL come to you in time. But you have to be patient. I can tell you from experience, in terms of training, my greatest progress in performance comes IMMEDIATELY after a rough patch during which I feel like giving up. Fall 7 times, get up 8 times.

This video speaks so much truth . through my high school years trying to get people to like me , hanging with the wrong crowd, etc. But , when everything is said and done, and you have graduated . What now ? , them so called friends are not going to be there . All this "popular " stuff that is happening in the high schools is lame. Because when you get out in the real world , your a nobody to society. You have to make a way for yourself . I realize this ! That my next four years in college or community college ima grind. I'm 15 years old, and I found my passion for fighting about two years ago. Since then, I've made it my life's ambition to become the greatest mixed martial arts fighter of all time. My mom knows that I want to fight professionally when I'm older, but she doesn't know I want to be the best. I haven't told my dad because I have very little trust with him and our relationship is not good. My mom doesn't quite understand my dream, and it's frustrating, but I understand that you can't expect other people to respect your goals the same way that you do. I've been training four days a week at my mma gym, and on the off days I lift weights. On top of that, I do some work at home and I've been seeing progress, but I'm still far below the more experienced people at my gym, and they're nowhere near professional level. I tell myself that if I work hard enough, I'll get there eventually, but sometimes it seems like the whole thing is going nowhere. I won't be going to college, because I think that 4 years of studying will be much better spent training. After high school, I plan on going to Thailand to master my Muay Thai skills for a few years. Hopefully I will have had some fights under my belt by the time I come back to work on my Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. I'm sure many of you think this is unrealistic and I'll just eventually change my mind, but I refuse to be average and spend 40 years of my life miserable, working 8 hours a day. I know I'll get there eventually, but these videos just help when my spirits are low. One day everyone will be proven wrong, and they'll know my name.

An awful lot can happen in a short period of time if you put your all into it. A lot of people won't understand you and you'll end up losing some friends along the way but keep at it buddy, hope all goes well for you, who knows might even meet you in the ring one day ;)

I have been working hard the last year trying to make my basketball dream come true even though I'm 19 now I believe I can still achieve greatness by putting every bit of sweat into it. My own mother said to me I can't make it why even try. I know what I have to do to be happy and I'm actually really happy that I at least know what I want. Mark my words I will fight until the last breath to make my dreams come true. God you watch upon me and see me succeed in my own way. I will fight until I die of exhaustion.

Vince Bautista Thats true. My problem is something weird because I have enough talent but my mindset which is ingrained inside me from birth is keeping me from using it. My personal battle is fighting against it now so it can change forever and it will make the process so much easier. You see, The harder I try to do something the worse I do it because the fear of failure is so great that I can't do it to a point here my fear becomes so great that I avoid the things I love because of fear of failure. I not only encounter it in grades, sports or work but also in relationships. It has tormented my life and it has made me depressed for years but ever since I found basketball I have never felt such a strong connection to something like this. No matter what happens or what anybody says its like im destined to do it. I'm convinced that literally nothing can change my mind until I die. Thats why I said Im happy to at least know what I love so this can make me a better person in general and it has.

Thank you. About a year ago, I found this video after my life imploded in a cataclysmic chain of events stemming from a deadly combination of poor decisions, toxic relationships/friendships, and some terrible luck. I had experienced hardship after hardship and felt like I had discovered a new level of rock bottom (sub-tectonic plate bottom). I wanted to change, needed to change, but I didn't know how. I watched this video and "Unbroken" every single day until I was able to truly understand and apply these mental affirmations. Because of your videos, I was able to pick myself up and work towards becoming the person I needed to be. Still working, but your videos really saved me. I am forever grateful for your work to inspire others. I returned to this video today because I had a very rough day, and I needed a reminder besides my daily meditation and journaling, and it got me right back to my mindset. Keep inspiring people. These videos have the power to inspire the changes that save lives.

@BlayneCowett9 жыл бұрын
I promise you, you can get past it. I had Social Anxiety and still do but not as bad as it was. My mom offered me to get help by taking therapy or take meds. But the only thing in my head was I know that wasn't gonna help I wasn't dealing with the problem. So I constantly worked on myself it wasn't easy but I'm here today and so much better I've learned to be better and more confident then I have ever been. I'm happy with who I am I been through so much and I'm STILL ALIVE & LIVING. I'm proud of myself never give up. If I could give you advice here's some coming from my personal experience 1.) face your fears and learn that there not as bad as you think they're 2.) learn that what you think of yourself isn't true what others say about you isn't true. Be confident and show others and shock your own self with who you really our push all your thoughts away were you're thinking others are gonna judge & say to yourself "fuck them" 3.) understand that ignoring situations isn't gonna help

I love the comments here. I first saw this video in active addiction and wasn't ready to change. Over three years later, I'm clean, I have a good job, I'm months away from my bachelor's degree, days away from turning 42. What is said here is 100% true. We have to separate ourselves from those that don't share our mindset, we have to dare to spend time with ourselves, we have to be hungry and keep going. Yes we will struggle in life, but we have one of two choices. We can lay down and let fear rule us, OR we can learn from our struggles and work towards being better people even if for just ourselves. I have cried, prayed, and fought demons that no one will fully know about. But each time, I dried my eyes, took a deep breath, fixed my crown, and got back up and on my grind. This video hits different now that my mind is clear. If you're seeing this....go for your dream, whatever it may be. Your testimony will be someone else's inspiration. God bless, much love to us all! 💖💖

I‘ve watched this a lot since it came out. Sometimes every morning in the week after waking up. I was still in school back then. At one point I was one of the worst student in my class back in school. It helped me to motivate myself. By now I‘ve finished my Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at one of the hardest universities in Germany and I’m doing my masters. I’m the first academic in my family. My parent’s didn’t speak German well and we had not a lot of money. Nobody helped me but myself. But hard work pays. I hope I can motivate somebody with this comment like I was motivated by others. It doesn‘t matter where you start. It doesn‘t matter that other people have it easier than you. You can achieve everything with the right mindset. Go for it. Stay consistent. You only define yourself in the most difficult times. Greetings from Germany. Go for it right now! Start!

Back in 2016, I was told by a senior rep at my job that they didn’t think I was cut out for sales. Your videos were on repeat and got me through 8-8 shifts I put myself on, I built spreadsheets and got super organized, and honed my skills as a rep. 6 years later I just want to come back and say I’ve had 4 promotions, moved across the country for work, and am one of the most respected sales reps in my division. So thank you for making these videos for helping me believe in myself and in the power of hard work determining your own destiny. You really got me through a tough time of my life. And to all of you in a tough time, put in the work. Hustle and grind and go achieve your dreams.

This video is just what I needed to help me push through the haters and continue forward towards my dream of being a successfully published author. I also strive to be one of the best lyricists in the world, alongside one of the best authors in the world. I've always been down on myself sometimes, disappointed that I'm not going anywhere, but this video could help motivate even the most down on ourselves kind of people. Thank you sir for the inspiration! :)

I have 16 years old, I live in Poland. My dream is to become a fighter jet pilot, but my health is not to good (blood infection since birth), but i'll do everything to achieve my goal. I pray to God for help, I dont know if he's gonna help me. I suffer from depression, because of that disease I can't join Air Force and fly proudly for my country beacause it's disqualifying on the medical tests. I had a few thoughts about commiting a suicide, but I won't give up until I will achieve something. Be save guys....

I pray for you and wish you good luck. You will go your way. I also wanted to join the army for a long time, but an arm injury blocked my way. Nevertheless, I am happy with my current path. Incidentally, the day after tomorrow is my final exam, wish me luck^^ Dear greetings and God with us.
