Host Kathy McCabe gets to see the restoration of the Duomo from a unique perspective - a crane! She visits the only Last Supper painted by a woman - a Renaissance nun nonetheless - and she’s how it is being brought to life. I am Irish, and believe it or not, i have not yet been to Italy!. Some of my ancestors came from Italy over 100 years ago -- my dads family even look Italian. I think the world would be a very sad place without Italy and the great Italian people. Just think of all the great people Italy has given the world: Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, De Niro, Fellini, Sergio Leone, Ennio Morricone, Giorgio Moroder, Gennaro Contaldo, Gino D'Acampo, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Galileo, Lorenzo de' Medici -- the father of the renaissance!. Where i am from in Dublin, we have lots of Italians here, over 16 thousand. If i could only visit one more place in my life and no other place, i would pick Italy, some day i will go there...

I don't get it, why do the English and the Americans have too change the name from Firenze to Florence??? Why not use the original name?? Is it too hard to pronounce or what? 🙄🙄

It's ok. It's normal that in different languages the name of some cities can change. In Italian London is Londra, Paris is Parigi, Barcelona is Barcellona, Marseille is Marsiglia, Munich is Monaco, Mainz is Magonza, etc...
