Oh man, besides the guitar, I am sure you could do it. It is a time sink though and this is the result of years of practice; but it can be done if you ignore the world around you for a while. 🍻 Cheers!

"Okay, at least I have the guitar. Although it's 'just' the rare luxury mahogany version with a quilted maple top and gold hardware (Ibanez RG 4020 QMBS) only 28 units were built worldwide), I would give it up if I could gain even a quarter of your skills in exchange. Impressive performance... Top."

Absolutely great palying and nice sound. I cannot get a sound whit my gear what motivates me. What gear are you using?
@Progmium8 ай бұрын
This is just using the Petrucci NeuralDSP Archetype plugin. It is really good if you have a computer and interface capable of running it without much latency. Pickups are the original Dimarzio Steve’s Special on the bridge and Air Norton on the neck position. I personally feel the newer Rainmaker on the neck would be a better option; plan on swapping it at some point. I still prefer the Steve’s Special on the bridge over the new Dreamcatcher as it retains more of the top end; you also get more tone flexibility by playing with the tone knob.

@Progmium8 ай бұрын
Honestly, every day on KZbin, I have those moments. Compared to what I see from others, I consider myself just an average player. However, this should only serve as motivation to improve. Many people watch a 15-second video and don't realize that playing those 15 seconds of a song can be the result of years of hard work and dedication. The mindset of being a work in progress should always stay with us; it keeps us grounded. I'd like to mention a short list of players that every modern guitarist should at least know: Guthrie Govan, Max Ostro, Ichika Nito, Joshua Meader, and of course, the great Matteo Mancuso. There are so many more. It's an amazing time to be alive, surrounded by such incredible players and with the accessibility of KZbin. In the past, I had to listen to a track painfully a thousand times before I could figure out a measure of a song. We are truly in a golden era for music, and the growth I've seen is exponential.

Yes; unfortunately it is superimposed. Do you have the backing track without Petrucci? Would love to re record it with a proper backing track.
@CounterflowEntropy8 ай бұрын
@@Progmium Yes, of course there is, KZbin has it, choose the best quality one, you don’t even need to re-record anything, record the sound from KZbin into the editor and just add your own track and that’s it

Thanks for listening! Will keep an eye out for a guitar-less backing track and rerecord it. I could always drown the original background but then it sounds weird. In due time I hope to get a proper backing track or, better yet, perform it with some guys in town and record it live. Fingers crossed 🤞
