A lot of words for having said something indicative of its author alone. There's no good or bad music when push comes to love because something appeals to someone somewhere. All there are are coherent listeners, as well as unintelligent listeners who grasp the concept that respect should be given to all musicians for pursuing an endeavor they love and for offering a wide array to a diverse audience. Music either resonates with you or it doesn't but is never relegated as good or bad by our hand.

I'm baffled that someone can say Rush only have "some" good songs. I can count four albums that were masterpieces from beginning to end (2112, Moving Pictures, Hemispheres, and Clockwork Angels), and many other excellent albums with Grade-A songs.

Your right music doesnt have to be complex to be good, but the level of complexity in DT is well beyond MOST musicians reach.. Lol, dream theater is almost the child of Rush.. i dont see how you can say rush is good and DT is not... they both go beyond mainstream technical playing in their song designs... and theres only 2 narcissists in this band.. mike portnoy and james labrie.. the rest of these guys are amazing people.. Im a lighting tech thats toured with them..

You have to come up with something better than that man...I've seen DT on a few occasions and while the music is quite a bit more complex than your Run-o-the-Mill Rock n' Roll( if you listen to the subtleties and the dynamics, besides Rush, Yes and a few others, Dream Theater is in a class all by themselves) And given the fact that they have really never had a mainstream "hit" on syndicated Radio, fans all over the world LINE up for EVERY SHOW & when YOU can do that, then cast the first stone
