He actually played it twice in one concert when I went to see him live last year. In surrounded, and then he played some improvised keytar solo on Metropolis, and it sounded really sick. I didn't expect a keytar solo on Metropolis

@Shreddfase11 жыл бұрын
Lets not forget, Petrucci wrote the drums for A dramatic Turn of Events, and let Mangini kind of... do some changes here and there. In all fairness, Mangini was under confines on this album. So comparison will have to wait until this next DT album with Mangini fully integrated in creative processes.

thing with the leaving of a band member is that, you can't imagine it happening and everyone said before mike's departure, DT wouldn't be the same without MP. But look now, they find Mangini, such a happy person, and suddenly it becomes way more acceptable. take this exemple: now, you probably can't imagine a dream theater without Jordan Rudess. But if he would depart tomorrow (let's hope not, he's genius) you would accept it (most of you) and DT would carry one with someone else. it's simple

how about also spinnning his sticks> trow them in the audience> spins cymbals> taking pictures while doing that :) stands up and begin a beat. And finally jumps up at the end of a song. :)

@TinasEntertainers they did it during the soundcheck prolly. cuz everyones wearing the same clothes except petrucci x) and lebre doesnt do the little rocking he does in the vid.

So many argue how DT is not DT without Portnoy. I would argure that the loss of LaBrie or Petrucci would be a case of DT no longer sounding like DT.
