I was just watching Ytse Jam High Voltage 2011 video, and watching this realizes me how deep Portnoy's influence on every DT's song. I love Mangini's drumming on the song at High Voltage, but maaaan... Portnoy just plays every DT's song differently, in a good way definitely. Oh btw... That Yamaha John Myung model is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

@jorgemejia54 There is no "cameraman" in a professionally shot video like this, there are several cameras on mounts at strategic points on and around the stage, all running simultaneously. Mike Portnoy directed and edited the DVD, he could have used the footage of John Myung's solo, but he didn't.

tankermottind Based on MP's commentary on 5 Years on a Livetime, it's unlikely he would've omitted any usable footage of a solo. Though clearly Myung can be seen on the screen, maybe the camera wasn't on him until the last second, making pacing awkward at the next cut to MP, or maybe that particular camera wasn't recording for whatever reason, or maybe it was a stylistic choice so as to have both JP and JM in the frame.
