David Latimer of New Frontier Tiny Home builds some seriously beautiful homes. He featured a tiny house here on The Tiny House Listings channel awhile back called The Alpha that garnered millions of views. Now, in this video, David is sharing his latest creation called The Escher. Like The Alpha, The Escher has a garage-style door that folds up to let a huge amount of space inside. The home sits on a gooseneck trailer and has a bedroom space for the parents and also a bedroom for their young child. As you'll see in the video, there are some seriously-custom, seriously-beautiful features featured throughout the entire house. It's awesome to see a home where so many details and attention to detail were implemented throughout the build.

This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

@shanedennis1136
@shanedennis1136 5 жыл бұрын
You start at the top and work your ways down itll take alot longer but that's the price you pay. To replace the mattress I would cut it into sections with a sawzall and remove it piece by piece if the entry way wasnt big enough. It's most likely a memory foam mattress that comes rolled up and expands when its opened and exposed to air.

The babies bedroom up that ladder, is a very dangerous and bad design, how are they meant to hold a baby and climb stairs? Even if there was two people, you still would have to pass the baby up the ladder. Kitchen right next to the bedroom, so imagine the smells of cooking being absorbed into the bedding etc. On the whole it’s high quality and beautiful materials, but very bad layout

Good thing it wasn't designed for you. Tiny homes are not one size fits all, they need to be made and designed to the needs of the owners. So saying it's a bad layout is completely subjective to what you feel is a good layout for you.

Looks more like an entertainment and love nest than a home for family, especially with little ones. I would not put my child, alone upon in that bed. Not safe! Child just has to get in its head that it wants down for whatever reason and it will find a way!! Regardless of those little latches! Absolutely gorgeous!! But not as a home for anyone other than single or couple still in honeymoon phase of thier relationship!

I see the need for a washer and dryer in this family’s life with the baby! I also noticed that others commented on the kitchen orders wafting into the bedroom and having the baby up the ladder. I would prefer a staircase maybe the master bedroom could be above the bathroom with a staircase. In that case the bedroom would have to be moved to the other end. There seems to be no place for the baby’s crib. with built-in storage to the loft. He did not say if the toilet is a composting style. Adding solar panels would be easy to do. Others address the lack of a comfortable seating area. With a child I would want a rocking chair. Maybe the large dining table and chairs could be located on the deck to allow for real living room space. That would allow for extra storage beneath the sofa. He did not mention how the house is heated but I would like to see a tiny wood-burning stove. Maybe some ceiling fans to help circulate the air and remove cooking odors? I’m just thinking out loud! I realize this is their house and their choices.

Beautiful design, craftsmanship but at $150000, totally defeats the premise of the tiny home purpose....that being debt free lifestyle.one might as well purchase a home in that price range, become a indentured servant to the mortgage company. If one is of a financial status and is looking for a vacation home, this would make a logical acceptance. Regardless, your company is in a niche regarding well conceived design and craftsmanship in the realm of tiny home concepts.

Where are you buying an actual home for $150,000? I live in a small town in the Midwest, and for that price, all you’ll get here is a shack that you’ll have to gut and rebuild just to pass inspection. You don’t have to be a slave to the mortgage company. My husband and I had our custom home built 14 years ago (3500 sqf) and had it paid off in 10 years. It’s about priorities and what you’re willing to go without to make bigger payments on the principal, which will continually make the interest payment less. We didn’t take a vacation, we didn’t spend frivolously and we didn’t buy unnecessary things like new cars or furniture unless we could pay cash. We still bought the kids cars in high school. They still got name brand clothing and their stupid designer shoes. We still helped them pay for college. All of that still happened, and we have the deed to our home free and clear. Get a financial planner. All things can be doable.

This beautiful tiny house is NOT baby or child friendly at all, the kitchen drawers on the ground, the shelves too low, the ladder, I mean, sure they can bathe the baby/child in the sink (didn't get to see how big it is?) or get a tub of some kind and put it in the shower and they can co sleep in their bed with baby (especially during the nursing period) but that kiddie bedroom won't be usable before kid is about 3... but why not... still what a hassle, there are many ways to make a tiny house work for expecting parents and babies and toddlers, this is NOT one of them, it's a beautiful home (yet quite unsustainable but why not, perhaps they want to be mobile) but is not suitable for a family with little children

Patriot Jefferson Dude its a child, if it was a baby then they at least wouldn’t have a actual bed up there. And the who said the walk in closet was just for the parents, it could easily be the child’s as well. And the “shower for two” I’m sure they just wanted a big shower.

It's a beauty,...but at over 80k...this is not sustainable...and a contradiction of the whole movement. Nice, but, not practical...only for the wealthy...."as a point-of- interest"...sorry to state. No offense. I gain nothing by offending another human.

The tiny house movement is not just a movement for poor people to live in a small home. It's for everyone with any budget. Honestly I thought this would easily be over 100K with all the finishes that they chose, but you don't have to have a lot of the features that they chose on this home to live tiny, nor is it wrong for them to want to have these finishes. 80K even with a 15 year loan with interest is probably around $550 a month. You can't afford $550-700 a month for rent? I pay more than double that for a semi decent apartment in the PNW. I'd kill to have this place at 80K. Edit: This house is actually $190,000 as seen in the video. It's expensive but again, the finishes are what drive the prices up. Could build this for around 100K with lesser finishes or half that if you DIY.
