I'm amazed at how long things from the past stay around and in good shape. You don't get that kind of quality now. I loved it and the woodwork is gorgeous!

What a beautiful home and so well taken care of for a 100 year old woman. I’m sure she had some help but it is just fabulous. Thanks for another wonderful home tour 😊

I really like Fernandina Beach. Lived in the area for 16 years. It is a well-kept secret. It's full of historic homes... which are close to the beach. It's not well known and those that live here locally prefer to keep it that way. This house is beautifully preserved. I have no doubt it will pull in top dollar!!!

A beautiful home. My favorite things are the light fixtures and fireplace mantels.

What a charming beachy Victorian! Wonderful that the original features remain, and were restored so well. Interesting that the front parlor was not separated by a hallway, but if the lot is narrow, that makes sense. I wonder what the original kitchen was like; perhaps it was a separate small building at the rear. That finished attic space is definitely a plus. Design trends seem to ebb and flow; after years of Eastlake, the flowing Art Nouveau style was a big change. I'm now curious to check out that Eastlake book. The simplicity and geometric aspects of his ornamentation was perfect for the "new" manufacturing of home decor materials. I always love it when you include extra bits of history in your tours. Cheers!

Fascinating that the Blalock & Parton Family were involved in this home & both families also settled in John Sevier‘s Country of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! Perhaps a Great Home for Dolly to tour! 😘

I really like this home and the layout. Question: Would the home have been across the street from a commercial enterprise at the time it was built? If not when would the encroachment of commercial businesses have arrived? Also, the room with the 2 twin beds is my favorite, and the bathrooms are very nice.

It’s across the street from the library and only half a block from the Main Street so I’m sure it’s always been close.
