I am ALWAYS so impressed with the narration, video graphics and music for the tour. I told my husband I would love to go to Natchez. Stay at a bed and breakfast. Tour the homes. Sadly, no time. This is very excellent substitute. Probably BETTER. THANK YOU

I really like when a plaster piece gets the Cameo treatment, as in the background of the piece is given a single color that makes the detail work stand out, as was done to that chandelier in the foyer. Very nice.

🔷 The initial two mantels are stunning as are the medallions scattered about on various ceilings. The scale of some of the rooms is magnificent and I would die to have that much room in which to wander around. The fountain ⛲ is beautiful. 🔷

Beautiful house! I have always loved Federal style furniture for its smaller, compact elegance. Years ago I had a Federal chair that I loved; it was so sturdy and well-made and beautifully symmetrical. I have always regretted selling it. This has been a lot of fun to see an entire house in Federal style. 😁👍

I always cringe when I see him still on the cross. There is only power because He defeated it. I wish more people realized their idolatry too
@vernicethompson48256 ай бұрын
@@Bluegrassprincess The icon of Jesus on the cross is Catholic. No Catholic considers that idolatry. So there is no need to cringe when gazing upon him!
@marydumois42425 ай бұрын
@@Bluegrassprincess every cross was empty after the dead were removed. The empty TOMB was what was significant. The CRUCIFIX was the symbol of his torture and love from his death until the Protestant revolt. If you can’t stand to see what your SAVIOUR did for you, you are a pathetic excuse for a Christian. Keep your ignorance to yourself.

A few questions: When were the fireplaces last refinished and restored? They look like they need some love and attention.Also when was the roof last redone for the property? It also looks like it needs restoration-pronto! In what state is the brickwork for the house? I know the house is very old.

corner fireplace wow. I grew up in a historic place where reverting homes back to colonial times was lauded by preservations. My sister as a young girl hated it as she liked different tastes reflected, tearing out the Victorian era, her favorite, damaged her soul.

The home was built when Natchez was a French territory
@timward31166 ай бұрын
@@OurRestorationNation I guess I'm just sort of suprised that the flag and that the religious items (from the period, I suppose) still adorn the walls, given the presence of some more modern things sprinkled throughout and the fact that, as a bed and breakfast, some guests wouldn't be Catholic. I would also be surprised that the earlier lay residents would have had what seemed to be so many crucifixes (I could easily see it in a convent or monastery). I guess they were very devout. Thanks! I LOVE your videos, by the way!
