One of the things i like about this channel over most others is that its about the car and the work, not personalities and drama. Also it seems you care about the cars/builds rather than it being just another one to get done and upload

You can have some personality and still skip the drama. Cleetus keeps his circle drama free by making sure those kinds of toxic people aren't in it. I'm not sure what this channel needs to reach a larger audience, but I suspect doing more with cars outside of the shop would drastically improve things. There's a lot more people who like cars at a surface level. Or are too busy to follow a build series. But would happily tune in to watch it rip some laps, or complete an epic road trip etc.

Your OEM+ build style, your rapport with each other, and the care you take to create quality (instead of quantity) content is what keeps me coming back. I stop watching other channels that churn out quick and dirty builds every week just to appease the masses. Keep up the great work, fellas!

Speed Academy is the best “technical” car channel on KZbin BY FAR. IMO the pace at which you move through these builds is spot on and the fact you’re “flipping cars” keeps it interesting and always fresh. I also like the track day videos and wouldn’t mind seeing more of those, even with bringing out older projects that’ve been done for a while! Do whatever u need to keep this channel going… sponsored products, quick & easy builds, test drives, etc. Keep it up! 🏎️🔧⚙️

As a 42 year old American, your channel appeals the most to me. Coming from learning everything I could about cars from reading print media (including your former magazine). I think you said it right... restrained and realistic builds, taking your time, going through all the coordination on the back end while still being entertaining is still a monumental effort. I love your "glimpse in the life" content and just wanted to say thank you.

As a performance shop, I have a new appreciation for your channel and being honest with the allure of KZbin... I find the most successful channels are content creators who never planned on being "youtube famous" or successful monetarily... They also seem to be very motivated, and internet/videography savvy type people. Sometimes people think running a shop is easy, and much like being a successful youtube creator, both require an immense amount of work, dedication, and persistence through the ups and downs of business and life. Thanks for being real and not sugar coating or glamorizing the work and finances that are actually required.

Personally, and with no disrespect intended to most other car KZbinrs, this is one of very few channels I truly enjoy consistently. I’m in my late 30’s with a hectic career and a family, and although I still own a few of the cars of my youth (FA5 daily and DC2R track rat) finding a chance to even research mods is very challenging. Taking on a swap or build is unthinkable. Joining you fellas on a project every few weeks is a real joy, and the bonus for me is that we’ve seemingly got very similar taste in cars.

The thing with you guys that I ALWAYS appreciate, is that you will respond to contacts of people offering help or even answering a technical question that's within your range of knowledge. Lots of channels out here where the people don't even bat an eye. You're always willing to accept any assistance on a one on one level (Using the evo 6 build as reference back then when I was trying to help with part info, etc) and things like that as well as real world advice make this channel so nice to watch from a mature point of view. If I ever come up from the caribbean to visit Canada one day and I see you all, I'll make sure to give you all a "well done!" handshake. Keep doing what you do how you do it. It works.

Speed Academy, Mighty Car mods and M539 channels are my absolute favourite by far. Nothing else comes close imo. Keep up the great work. I dont own any of the cars that you work on but that doesnt matter, they way are always great videos.

I hope you guys know that the best thing about your channel is the two of you. You have consistently pleasant, fun, engaging personalities. I’ll watch literally anything you put out because you guys feel like old friends. With respect to the cars, being relatable to an ordinary person and working on attainable cars is far more engaging than the higher end stuff. I enjoyed Mat Armstrong far more when he was working in his driveway than now that he’s flying to Dubai and rebuilding exotics. I wish you had far more viewers and made a lot more money but I would sincerely hope that you’d keep your same format and style even if you could afford to do much more. Love you guys!

I love the channel. Very relatable. The structure of the builds are substantially entertaining.

I'm glad you made this video. I enjoy your channel because you guys are fun to watch and build the type of cars that I like, and would build myself. Your passion for the vehicles and builds shine through. It takes alot of resources for an automotive channel compared to others. I started my channel to documenting build because it was something I was going to do anyway. But you are correct it does take planning, time, money and persistence to keep it rolling. Keep it up!

You guys are definitely under rated, its the mature KZbin channel for the seasoned veterans of tuning. Yes more track battles for sure, but please no burn outs or donuts unless really warranted, like at the end of a build or something like that, not your style anyways. I am partial to rotaries but love all the content no matter what the build. Also when PT gets frustrated with the rust it make me chuckle a lot, as I too know the pain building my FC when I didn't know the tricks to battle the war against rust. The more Hondas you guys build the more I want one. Just the analog driving experience of the golden era cars never gets old. Keep them coming, here for the long run !!
