Cervélo has made its name with thoroughly aerodynamic road bikes and time trial machines. In 2020, Marc Hirschi won the longest leg of the Tour de France, the 12th stage, single-handedly on the Cervelo S5. Here we present his Cervelo P5 time trial bike. See how the mechanic from Team Sunweb is building the Cervelo P5 for Marc. We keep our fingers crossed for Marc for the Tour de France time trial on Saturday.

Most quit using it due to the drag. They are using skateboard grip tape or silicone sleeves instead. Some still run it, but almost none nowadays

That bottom bracket is so thight it just can't spin properly. Strangely they never show the crankset spinning 🤔

pressfit bb will never spin well, thats why specialized and trek went back to threaded

@@hotimothy8091 That's not true, pressfit > threaded if done right. But most bike company's can't make a bike with normal bb tolorances. That's why they go back to threaded. And if you don't believe me watch the 1 month old sl7 video on this channel.

@@Kansloos press fit is literary compressing the bearing, it will create more friction, you can try spin a crank in the pressfit, it will only spin around 8 revolution while threaded bb can spin around 12 to 16

@@hotimothy8091 what if I told you that the bearings are press fitted into the cups of a threaded bb 😬 your car or motorbike has lots of pressfitted bearings and theynspin freely. They just can't even make a mtb handlebar without voids... Other manifacturers can make pressfit bb with the right quality control

Humans are quite amazing, work with a torque wrench enough and you'll be able to work without one, there are people who work with optics/lenses (only two left in the world, they're able to sense differences and subtleties up to a micron thick with their hands).
