The Apocalypse trilogy is different in term of their sound, yet still and will always incorporate rock and metal into their title tracks. DC (Dreamcatcher) is very unique. They forged their own path in the kpop industry because their genre (yes, THEIR own genre) is not so popular in South Korea, but they made fans internationally when they changed from MINX to DC. However, they have be gaining more domestic fans recently. Moreover, They have one of the best, inspiring journeys EVER. Their road to their first win was fascinating and emotional. I hope you enjoy more DC content in the near future.

Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 "Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

About the anime opening, Dreamcatcher first released a mini album in collaboration with Vespa, a video game company, for the mobile game King's Raid (the title track is called 'Deja Vu', highly recommended song). Later on, they made an anime adaptation of the same video game and they collaborated with Dreamcatcher once again, the anime is called 'King's Raid: Successors of the Will' and and the song 'Eclipse'. If you want to check out their more experimental side where they switched their sound a bit and mixed it with other genres, the Dystopia trilogy is what you're looking for: 'Scream', 'Boca' and 'Odd Eye'. Hope you enjoy their music!
