I’m going to make boldly statement. This for me is their best song ever. Vocally, rap wise and musically. LEEZ, Ollounder and the girls outdid themselves. Fun fact. Now I also know why I was destined to become an Insomnia. My birthdate (given by the orphanage) is the same as the day Insomnia Day: March 10. It was written in the stars.

I can't even begin to describe how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. We might be lifting them up, but they should know, they are also carrying us. Happy 6th anniversary, Dreamcatcher! Can you imagine this song live? With us InSomnia going Whoooo-whoooaaa and them singing over it? 😊 I wouldn't be surprised if the animations were done by a fan, I seem to recognize the style. Whoever did them, they did a great job. I see the book from the Nightmare arc, the mask from Scream, the gun from R.o.S.E Blue, the silenced bust from Boca, the cup from Odd Eye, the hand through the mirror from Good Night and the clock from Piri. Musically, I am in heaven. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. Obviously the song is an absolute anthem! If you can afford it, remember to purchase the MP3. I got mine from Amazon, and I love listening to the instrumental as well!

Headbanging while tears flying in every direction: the Dreamcatcher effect. Noone does it like them. Noone. Rock influenced songs in kpop come and go, but Dreamcatcher is forever.

I feel like this song was a true love letter to the fans that have stuck with them throughout the years. The past couple of years they've been exploring more into the electronic elements more than the classic j-rock sound they started with, understandably some insomnias have felt a bit alienated because of the shift to a more "pop" sound (I'd argue that maison and vision are still very much within the "dreamcatcher sound" but that's a different argument lol). That being said, I think this song has really validated a lot of those insomnias that fell hard in love with their more j-rock inspired tracks from their debut. It's almost like they're saying "we may have changed our sound over time but we know our roots". No other kpop group could ever make a song like Reason and it not feel out of place but with Dreamcatcher it feels entirely at home within their discography, it borrows elements of chase me era songs while still keeping some of the things that have made their modern era songs so good (the more laid back rap section for example)

Completely agree with the comparison to Good Night. But it is the style of early Dreamcatcher combined with the skills that they have honed over the last six years. For instance, Dami was not the formidable rapper she is now at the beginning of the Nightmare series. The way Dami, SuA, and Gahyeon were trading off in this song is very impressive. And JiU has more power in her singing than she used to. Also, the instrumental for this song is worth checking out.

The guitar riff is definitely J-Rock. I get a Baby Metal, One Ok Rock and Wagaki Band feeling. Also, the high belting vocals, by Siyeon, Yoohyeon and JiU, are definitely a Rock singing technique. This isn't the usual Pop vocals with Metal instruments. The song went full J-Rock. Dreamcatcher went back to basics and it's so satisfying!

Yes! They singing it like a rock song and it's pure satisfaction. The instrumentals definitely from their early sound but the singing and also the rap is on a totally different level. It is so damn good. Siyeon should do more rock, her voice is one of the best and not just in kpop but in music overall. When I die I want to hear a Siyeon solo so I can come back to life for a few more minutes. :-)

I remember hearing this song for the first time at their concert in D.C. (yes, I know the pun is there lol) in March of this year, and I still get chills and super excited whenever I hear this song! Just the fact that I heard "Reason" live before hearing the studio version, this song has a very special place in my heart.

five of them started as a group called minx, after a year the company disbanded that group, two more members joined the five, and shortly after that Dreamcatcher debuted, in my opinion that was the best move from the company.

i feel so bad.... you introduced me to these amazing ladies a couple of years ago (can't remember the song you reacted to) and i was interested so wanted to see if they had any more good songs... got super unlucky and chose 2-3 slow ones and was just disappointed thinking "oh another k-pop group with only 1-2 good songs" but now i am a total hardcore insomnia after being reintroduced to them by some friends and i love these amazing ladies so much they have so many amazing songs and i listen to them so much and i love watching the clips of them being adorable goofballs

Haha! Up them both! I have an Iron Maiden, "Trooper," flag on my wall, and on either side of it...Dreamcatcher posters. Truly two of the GOATs. In fact, I don't think any group's music has captured me as much, since I discovered Maiden, as Dreamcatcher's has.

A rare event, unique interaction, strange and funny at the same time in the history of the music industry in South Korea or maybe even internationally too in my opinion, i think... 1. Dreamcatcher did not follow the path of the mainstream but opened an alternative path in the Korean music industry, as well as learning from the experience of the failure of Minx - the girl group in the mainstream. This alternative path is not something new. In the world of western music, Nirvana is one of the music groups that use alternative paths. Was Nirvana not successful at that time? Can't Dreamcatcher be as successful as Nirvana? On the other hand, this type of alternative music also has a high risk considering that many bands have vacuumed or disbanded because they have survived the same type of music without innovation. it's not surprising that Dreamcatcher's albums haven't always been in the rock genre, even if that's their trademark, In addition to solutions for mainstream or local markets. 2. This means the company needs more collaboration between music producers or musicians outside the company. One of the classic formulas of music producers in creating interesting music. Especially for those who know the type and sound quality of each member of the Dreamcatcher group. The contract extension is part of keeping the girl group's Dreamcatcher promise to fans. From a typical Asian point of view, it is much more personal and totality, than a career. For example, the age of marriage for Asian girls is usually under their 30s old. This means, when idols get married, their music careers also stop there. It's common knowledge that some idols want marriage at a young age rather than a career in music or pressure from family.
