I feel like Handong has gotten SO much stronger vocally for both Apocalypse albums. She really has come for my throat this year. Fairytale shocked me - I didn't expect it to sound like that at all and I love it. Some Love sounds like the most "kpop" song they've done. So many genres and the unusual harmonies, too.

I heard the reason for more CGI is because the concept of this Apocalypse series is about protecting the environment so they wanted to have less waste with practical stages. The lightning power specifically is just a way to show their strength as they are "Goddesses" in this series which started with Maison. First album was Save Us, a call for help, this album is Follow Us so it's them taking the reigns

I dont know if anybody mentioned this. Dami actually explained what happens in the MV. In Maison, they fought off the leader of evil and saved the world. In Vision, they actually are fighting the remaining goons. But in doing so, they look back at what is left and it is total destruction. So war is not the answer because no one's winning just losing everything. So they switch to giving power speeches to send message to change what we are doing. I'm just para phrasing. They are goddesses not superheroes btw. The CG has its own merits even if it's not as cool as transformers and avengers. Looking past the cg, the story is so much more important. Also, they r not a big company so what they made here is actually exceed expectations. I still enjoy the cleaner cg here than in Maison. The new favourite will be Fairytale. Some Love is gaining attention from me as i listen to it again and again. Rainy Day is just pure chef kiss.

Some may not agree, but when you said that comment about Siyeon doing R&B… I always said that DC I feel like with the vocal talent, they one of the rare groups that I would love to see cover Red Velvet songs… because I trust their vocal talent to pull it off… but yes I would love for them to do a real R&B song.

The "Vision" is an really amazing and great song. And "Fairytale" is a really beautiful and wonderful song that seems to be walking in the sky. And "Some Love" is such an interesting and amazing song. I feel like I'm facing a new world I've never met. And "Rainy Day" is a very emotional and beautiful song that makes my fall into memories, warm-hearted, and tear my eyes. As we always know, Another Masterpiece Album by Dreamcatcher ! ❤ Thanks.

Dreamcatcher is scheduled to tour concerts in Germany (Berlin), Netherlands (Tiburg), Poland (Warsaw), U.K (London) and France (Paris) from mid-November to late November this year. As far as I know, ticket reservations are in progress. I went to the New York concert, one of Dreamcatcher's concerts in the United States, in July, this year. It was such an amazing and great concert. Even now, when I think about the concert, I get so excited that my heart trembles and I get goosebumps all over my body. Needless to say, it was just the best concert. 👍

When you were trying to describe what Fairytale sounded like I was first very curious what you were going to say, when you couldn't think of anything I asked myself why that could be and I came to the conclusion that it's just typical Dreamcatcher and can't really be compared to anything else. I was so happy when in the end you just straight up said I don't know what I was doing back there, it's just Dreamcatcher!

Maison had a tarot theme but it was really subtle. I think Vision continues that but it's something that I'm gonna have to examine closely in my spare time. 😂 For Maison there were clues in the MV AND the choreography but if you don't know anything about tarot it's something that will go over your head. My favorite song on A:FU is Some Love. 🥰 My inner gay just vibes strongly with it.

In the second half of the intro I hear the sound of the song Starlight in the background. I can see Fairytale being a banger live on stage.

The red outfits will end me.. or the military uniform in general since they wore black at the showcase. The fatigues.. I can’t with Handong in those cargo shorts and the top that shows off her arms and Siyeon in a tanktop. Siyeon just reminding people as to why she is one of the best. As Maison was to save the world from climate change, I take Vision as to call to save the world from war. There is peace in the background of some shots. In one shot they look like public speakers spreading their message of peace. I love the choreography. Blonde Dami and short hair Siyeon dominate.. i am Dami and Siyeon bias after all. Handong continuing to come for me. Yea, SuA is a Queen. They were goddesses in Maison so I take it that they still are in Vision. Dami is always seen in some kind of control center. Maison was full CGI as to minimize waste. Vision has a mix of real set and CGI. Vision is fighting with You and I and Maison in an attempt to take 6 or 7. It probably won’t break my top 5 as my 5 are pretty solid.Vision could very well end up at 6 or 7. It took 2 or 3 listens for Dami’s rap to hit me. While I love the guitar and lyrics of Fairytale, I think Some Love is my favorite b-side. I like it’s funk and it’s lyrics. Another reactor compares part of it to Mandy Moore “Candy” with the late 2000’a pop vide she was getting. Rainy Day, it’s probably 5 or 6 in my rank of DC ballads. Siyeon singing soft is death.. her vibrato be it in a high note or in a soft breathy way is death. I love the harmonies. For the Outro, I love the drums and I can just imagine Mother Nature reclaiming the apocalyptic deviation.

Also, they performed Fairytale and Rainy Day at showcase. I think some lyric videos get the last part wrong- some out the woo woo to Siyeon and other to Yoohyeon, the last Fallow Your Heart trio is sometimes given to Siyeon and some to Jiu; I think it’s split between them. I need to watch that performance again to nail down last part.

i love love love how heavy 'vision' goes! i always thought of 'odd eye' as one of their heavier recent songs, but after 'vision' it just isn't. 🤘😅✌️ and that outro always gives me strong 'avatar' movie ost vibes. ☺️

I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!

I will just say this: I'm SuA biased (obviously) and her vocals: slay. Her rap: slay. Her dance: slay. But for some reason on the stages, I can't take my eyes off of Handong. And my favorite part of this music video is the fact that two of Siyeon's tattoos are fully on display. Her in that sleeveless top? Chef's kiss. I tweeted about it the day it came out, and I'll say it again: Dreamcatcher SLAYS once again.

Always appreciate your honest reactions. Initially I had the same reaction as you, with Vision being my clear favorite. But after a few days, I think it is in a tie with Fairytale (maybe influenced by that moving Insomincsy "music film.") I definitely group Fairytale with Starlight and Whistle as a kind of Dreamcatcher "pop" song that is both familiar and unique to them.

The Apocalypse storyline seems to be a sci-fi or sci-fantasy end of world scenario. In Maison, DC are angels/something who come down to help save the earth, here they seem more like space travelers, but still from outside earth. Very MCU Asgardians or whatever, This is part 2 of three, so Maison/Vision/TBD, just like Scream/Boca/Odd Eye.

You have not reacted to Rolling Quartz (which is entirely understandable since they are a Korean rock band rather than kpop) but their main vocalist, Jayoung, comes more from R&B than rock and you might enjoy her cover of Sia's Chandelier: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5nVmZaBa9SnotU . A major portion of Rolling Quartz fans are InSomnia, and they have covered DC's Good Night. AFIAK, Siyeon has not particularly done an R&B track (but I'd be happy to be corrected).
