Dreamcatcher concept is created for worldview perspevtive. From Nightmare arc (social depression), Dystopia Trilogy (cyber abused) till now Apocalyse Trilogy. This whole new 3rd concept was design for enviromental awareness....Save Us is first part, i am looking forward for second part... What titile would that be?

Actually, Dreamcatcher is treated like a red-headed stepchild in South Korea. Knetz only want Girl-crush or Cute concepts. Rock and metal is pretty much “underground” and not nearly as appreciated as it is in say, Japan. That said, they got their first and second show wins with Maison. A five year wait. The longest out of any KPop band. Dreamcatcher will not conform to traditional KPop norms. At least when it comes to their title tracks. Their B-sides show their versatility. If you haven’t already, I implore you to check out Rolling Quartz and their cover of Dreamcatcher’s “Good Night”. One of the few KRock groups getting any traction. There’s also Messgram (Evanescence influenced) and Synsnake, a metalcore/electroniccore band. Rock and metal is so rare in South Korea but those groups are passionate about it and they’re not giving up.

I love Dreamcatcher, and I agree with everything you said. However, they did not have the longest wait for first win; that title is currently held by Brave Girls at 10 years.

@@cavernsofdarkness I thought they had a 1st win already. I got bad info then. Just researched. They got a win in March of last year for a song from 2017. I didn’t know that was possible. I thought songs had to be current. Well, I learn something new every day.

@@hivelsword Yeah, it's crazy and honestly, there are so many groups out there that never get heard or get attention and kind of come and go unseen, that we don't even get to see the success stories. My personal "ult" group, KARD, is in that same boat; they're on their 6th year and haven't gotten a win, for reasons not dissimilar to Dreamcatcher.

@@cavernsofdarkness OMG, a group with two guys and two girls??? HOW DARE THEY!!!!!!! Knetz can really suck sometimes. So stubbornly stuck to their norms. Like Tyrion Lannister I have a tender spot in my heart for cripples, bastards and broken things. Meaning everything Knetz don't approve of. I always root for the underdogs. So I hope KARD gets their win someday. Though I fear their road might be even tougher than Dreamcatcher's.

@@hivelsword Luckily, they do very well for themselves internationally and they've managed to be the one co-ed group that has stuck around. They have a huge Hispanic fanbase (so much so that they even did a latin american tour pre-debut) and a lot of idols know and appreciate them, but it sucks that they don't have the national foothold or recognition. And, being co-ed, they don't qualify for a lot of the awards categories either.

Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house" or rather "home", and they are singing about everyone's home, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. Although the more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. The bass line is crazy as well. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the members are just brilliant.

dreamcatcher \:D/ yep their new apocalypse trilogy is about environmental concerns. it's also part of the reason why the video is all cgi - to save on film set waste. all their music is interesting with good messages. they are also much more diverse musically since most of their songs are actually not rock/metal influenced.

Thats why we love them they dont only do amazing music, they dont only are amazing vocalists and dancers, they also always give a message in the lyrics!!! For example their songs SCREAM and BOCA are against the haters in media. You should check the videos. THEY ARE AMAZING ARTIST SO UNIQUE. You must watch them live! they choreos are super hard and they singing so amazing !!!! The girls' company is great despite the financial capacity being lower than the others. Dreamcatcher is always involved with relevant subjects. They support LGBTQI+ causes. They have the song Over The Sky, with sign language. Dystopia Trilogy talks bullying theme.

Dreamcatcher is an amazing group. They paved the way for dark concepts and rock/metal sound. You should check out their entire Apocalypse album when you get the chance; it's great. DC finally had their first win last week (took 8 years for the original MINX members and 5 years for Handong and Gahyeon), and another one this morning. Many various Kpop stans in the community helped Insomnia and DC with the votes. It was amazing and wholesome.

If you pay close attention to their previous songs, Scream, Boca, Odd Eye, they're also targeting the hate spreading on the internet and issues with social media on their lyrics, they mention how people are losing their lives to suicide (in BOCA) and pretty much tells you: "if you can't say good things, shut your mouth". Now Maison going for issues with the Enviroment.
