dreamcatcher \:D/ as with most dreamcatcher songs, the lyrics can be interpreted a number of ways but in the context of the series in combination with the video imagery, it seems to be essentially an anti-war song; there's a giant neon peace sign, the v for victory could also be as you noted for peace, there's combat footages on the tv screen in the control room, etc etc. they are just giving a vision of the future if war destroys the planet. in context with the visual plot, the came to earth to warn us - to help us save ourselves so them turning on a force field to protect the planet is like giving us time to fix our own problems. the line you mentioned could be interpreted as standing up against war since in the past(and even very recently) peaceful protestors were beaten(and even killed) by police. leaders of peace such as ghandi went through extreme hardships. one thing about dreamcatcher's lyrics, the rap verses usually give away the theme of the song. it starts with 'turn over page' as in pages of history as a lesson, when instigators only caused global pain. so environment damage could destroy the planet and with vision, it's war. as for guides, I think the most popular most will recommend is "The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide 🎠 Welcome to the Dreamworld!".

"Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!

A quick note on some of the lyrics... As was the case with Maison, this song is about how humanity is destroying our planet. In this part they've included not only pollution but the devastation of war as well. Unlike Maison, which was a cry for help (Save Us), this song / MV is, In essence, a call to arms for the people to rise up and effect change (Follow Us). "Take the temporary pain" = Change will be difficult. Take the temporary pain / inconvenience / that is required to effect real change. "It'll spread the longer you rest" = The corruption and damage will spread unless you take action. This refers to peoples' general apathy towards the problem. People need to wake up, realize there is a real problem and they need to start being proactive about it.

I always took the "It'll spread the longer you rest" line in the context of doing something now, even though it may be painful, because the longer you rest or wait, the worse it's going to be. This upcoming release will be your first comeback with them. Villains, with the title track OOTD, came out in November last year and this new EP Virtuous, with the title track Justice, will be the follow up to that storyline. For guides, the best one, in my opinion, is the one that IvyShy recommended, "The Ultimate 2021/2022 Dreamcatcher Guide" by Dreamworld, but it's a little outdated at this point as its missing the last 4 comebacks. As a guide to the members though it's great. You guys definitely need to check out the albums. I hope you'll do the full Virtuous EP when it drops.
