JVC rs2000/NX7 HDR Color Filter BEFORE/ AFTER

What up Zach and Chris. Thanks for showing us the difference between the color filter and not using the filter. The Cinema filter was available before the firmware update . The firmware update added the dynamic tone mapping and the wide option. That combination of the RS2000 and the SI Black Diamond 1.4 is amazing. The filter drops the light output by about 10% . With the filter in place the RS2000 does almost 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Without the filter you can achieve about 85% of the DCI-P3 color space.

Thank you, and I did subscribe. :) Is this still all the same/relevant after firmware 3.5+ came out? Also, I always run on low power, and brightness is a concern. My NX7 is 3-4 feet above my head and the fan is too loud in high mode... I guess I just need to see which I like best, a bit more brightness would be nice. I have my aperture set to manual and max also. What are your thoughts on fine zone adjusting. I never knew there were any negative aspects to it, but a few people have been telling me I should not use it...

It's like putting on a pair of good sunglasses with a dark tint. Wipes away the "white haze" from the sun. You see what is there. Not obscured.

3inch foam on the ceiling?

It helps to stop sound reflection in the room. If you listen closely when they are talking you can still hear some reflections. I'm sure the Home Theater Dude did his homework when he added the foam but it's hard to have to much sound deadening material in a home theater room. The foam may not look very appealing but you can't see it in the dark.

its 4 inch brother. i have a bunch of bass in this space. for the next, i'll use a combo of panels, diffusers and 3/4 inch foam
