You TOTALLY DESERVE all the praise you are getting. I used to do this kind of music in the 80s and 90s. I wrote all kinds of Beatle style music and put together a band and we performed all over LA. We got to be known a little. I would have DIED back then to have met you. I would have sought you out and asked you to join the band, I no I would have BEGGED YOU on my knees. He is into the Beatles and loves recording Beatles songs by recording each layer of music; John’s, Paul’s, George’s and ringos along with their vocal harmony! He just has these questions: what software do you use to record these amazing songs and how do you do it?

I'm so happy to hear your son is enjoying my work and recording his own songs. Tell your son that I use a Tascam DP-24 Portastudio to record the music. It's not a computer program, it's an actual mixing console that has everything built into it. But tell him that the best choice for computer software is Pro Tools. Make sure to buy an M-box to plug in the microphones and instrument cables. Research "How to get pro tools" and see if you can figure it out that way. I also have a special set of microphones that I use. The one I'm using in the video is from the 60s called the AKG D24. It's really hard to find some of the vintage gear I use, but microphones are very important. Tell your son that a Shure SM-58 microphone is pretty much the best affordable microphone that can do just about anything. It's an "industry" standard microphone. It's mainly used for live performances, but you can do so much with them in the studio. I often use that microphone in my videos. I actually recorded my guitars in this video with the Shure SM-58. You have officially become my favourite KZbinr! This Christmas I got my first bass which was a Hofner so it helped me immensely as I would have a real bass sound instead of trying to imitate that sound on a guitar for songs. I love old music such as the Beatles and Elvis, so ur yt channel is the best place to go! BTW: Paul is my fav as well!😂

I know it’s only been one day but I need to get your opinion on this😄 For my recordings I am currently using GarageBand. The issue I have is that the more layers of music I add, the more distorted the song becomes.
