Drenchen sounds like an amazing clan to be apart of I especially love that they have healing powers and that almost everything in their culture is associated with blue an that the females use their wings moreso as fins then wings 🥺💙💙💙🌊

Wait, I thought it was called nectar wine, not sog flower wine. I haven't gotten to the Drenchen part of Seven Songs yet, but it's called nectar wine in the YA novels. Speaking of which, why aren't any of the creatures from the YA novels in the Bestiary? There's no bluemouth, no ruffnaw, no bell-bird and it's also missing that swamp skater thing that never actually had an official name that skekSa rode through Sog in Flames. I mean, for a book that claims to be the definitive guide to the creatures of Thra, it's missing quite a few creatures that are meant to exist in it, unless the YA novels are no longer considered canon, in which case, I respectfully object and argue that the books are a little bit better than the show (don't get mad at me for that last comment. It's just my opinion. I still really love the show). Gotta say, I love the Drenchen. It's a clan I grow more and more appreciative of. I like the idea of hard talk. Our world could use that kind of communication right now. We'd be better off for it. Enough pussyfooting around, just say what you mean. Laesid is one of my favorite maudra's and Naia and Gurjin are awesome! The Wondertwins of Thra! Both healers and warriors, and one with the amazing power to Dreamfast with anything alive, be it flora or fauna, or Thra itself. This is a clan I would have loved to visit, although much like Tavra when she went there during Shadows, I would have had difficulty with their more...lively...eating habits. The idea of waking up to communal drums that sound throughout the day sounds amazing though.

You're definitely right about a lot of that! One of the most interesting things i'm finding about these new books, is that JM Lee seems to have made a few significant changes to his mythos, and now a handful of aspects don't exactly line up. I'm wondering if they will continue to fix this, or if these are just new changes.
