I know this is a few years old. But, I use my cricut all the time and have for many years. I have a few go to vinyls that I use depending on what I need them to do. I use cricut brand for permanent vinyl (especially if for car stickers) I use Amazon vinyl for HTV and I use Siser for removable vinyl or for decorations.
