I am totally guilty of getting stuck in the education/free work cycle! I think it also comes down to a lack of confidence. Thank you for your suggestions :)

+LTAlbertini I think confidence plays a big role in it. If you're in this cycle ask yourself "if you KNEW you would succeed if you started right now, would you still get more education? It's rare someone says yes.

I used to think I was inferior to everyone around me. Once I started my passion, the person I wanted to be as a kid but never thought it was possible, I ended up being far better than I ever even expect myself to be. So I believe that your dream job is the job that you will truly be great at. And it also brings great happiness and fulfillment even before you make it. Just the process alone is amazing... and it also exercises our ability's as well, making them stronger and stronger

This is excellent advice! I am an INFP and can struggle with getting things done unless I really fully commit and especially if I commit publicly. My New Years resolution for 2017 was uploading a video every Monday and announced it so I could hold myself accountable through actually putting it out there and then also did a video every day in October- I have been successful in both! We really do amaze ourselves with what we can do once we commit and actually follow through. So important to make the commitment first even if we’re not sure what videos we’ll make or how we will make it happen. It will all work out in the end.

Good video/topic. Got a chuckle that you almost apologize for the folks who are in their 50's and not living their dreams - since I'm not quite as young as you. Still, as you note, today is the day to start, no matter where you are. And an advantage older folks have is they have less excuses, since they have likely had more failures. ;-) Thanks for posting.

55 here.... i did try out different things and actually kinda found my dream by braille 😁.... but, now after many years i am in round 2 of rediscovering who i am now and discovering new dreams... so ut is good to be reminded that trial and error is the way to the right fit for an old enfp too..even at 55❤. Enjoying your videos!

awesome video! actually found out for myself: dreamed of being yoga teacher, but failed. I focused on that but did not like it. But I realized that I can be a good lofe coach as long as I helped to myself by using yoga and coaching techniques! Love this video - every word, is true. Even if you fail better to fail now and look for smth else rather than being caught in illusion what doesn't meant to be yours.

Wow!! This definitely is an aha moment!! I’m in the INFP bracket & have been working in my profession for 5 years. As soon as clients start to become more like friends, i start to give really big discounts. i feel guilt because it feels like I’m hanging out with a friend so it doesn’t feel like work. Thanks for sharing. 🙌

Lack of Knowledge is the source of FEAR

If this video isn’t confirmation! I’ve been knowing what I was called to do since I was 16, but instead of going after it I listened to others and gotten sidetracked for 13 years. It wasn’t until today I realized how all over the place I was and I have to do what makes me happy. Yeah, my calling is out of left field, but I’m not exactly like everyone else and I have to embrace that instead of shrinking. I don’t want to be 80 years old and live with resentment when I’m supposed to be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.

So have done that for the past 20 years not due just to fear but also when your family pressures you to give up on your dreams and doesn’t support you. Now at 38 I’ve decided f.. it I’m returning to my first dream becoming a professional actress. Performing in community theatre to gain experience and planning on attending professional development workshops to gain the skills I need because I am unable to afford drama school

Thank you for this "lecture"--as in educational class session! I note that you're not progressing with a book you're writing as fast as you progress with other projects. Bingo! I'm a slow writer too, and I've written a whole book I'm still editing and arguing with myself about. Of late I've started adding lines and taking them out a day or two later. So, yeah, I need to investigate this matter more deeply. Thanks again for your insightful post.

you have such a way of like... taking my unconscious thoughts and putting them into words o.o ... I definitely have been doing the "try stuff you dont care about because you dont care if you fail" thing, and I've been so scared of putting out music because I feel like I'm not good enough!!! T_T ahhhh

On point, Dan. Loved it. I know a woman who has worked extremely hard her whole life working while putting herself through endless courses and is 'almost' qualified for the job she wants. She is 61 now. Very sad.

Interesting viewpoint. The sticking point is committing to anything. I find the only way for me to commit to anything is to basically force myself or burn bridges in order to push me into panic mode. Then i will work because i won't sink. Sink or Swim theory. How do i get there without having to burn bridges?

I’ve loved dance music since 70’s (recalling dancing to disco, soul, funk as a kid) and always looked up to DJing as a career but never took it up as a opportunity in 1989/1990. Hindsight!!! I’m now over 50 and just learnt to DJ and it’s so much fun, regretting I never made it a career in my early 20’s 😂

I’ve never related to someone so much! I’m a 23yr old ENFP and I’m exactly where you were at when you were that age aha, I’m paralysed by fear, but I want to try something independent and meaningful! Would love accountability tips, and what is the best way for me to focus on learning aha, as you’d know I’m easily distracted aha. @Dreamsaroundtheworld
