How do you transfer the image onto your Lino? I always struggle using soft graphite pencil rubbed onto the back of tracing paper and then running over the edges of the design. Whatever you are doing looks far easier to read

Не знаю есть ли это в вашей стране, но мы для переноса эскиза на линолеум используем копировальную бумагу, которую используют бухгалтера(когда выписывают чек) или архитекторы. Стоимость маленькая листов много. Поищите у себя. Она бывает черной, синей и красных цветов

You need to print your mirrored design with ink printer (might not work with laser one) put it on lino printed side down and rub IT with cloth infused with nitrocellulose thinner. Remember to do in well ventylated room and wear a mask not to inhale too much fumes. Works like a charm.

Personally I use black transfer paper it's pretty cheap or Indigo papers...

The precision is insane. I only ever made jagged cuts of uneven depth but she handles this in such a silky, smooth manner. Great stuff.

Holy forgotten memories, Batman! I remember doing these in art class in middle school. We got to do two different colors of ink to make cool drip patterns sometimes, but I personally think the carving was my favorite part. Except we got these little rectangles so we couldn't do HUGE designs like this.

​@@purplelord8531yes! I think I definitely got the material wrong. I assumed it was wood at the time, because of the colour, but I recently tried lino carving, and it basically is the exact process in the video, so it probably is lino or rubber haha. Sorry about the misinformation!

This is Lino. You basically carve away the white space to make a stamp you can print off of. She hand prints, but you can use a mechanical press too

Mmmm, that feeling when you hand carve an intricate relief image into linoleum. Not only will you be able to make countless prints with it, but the block itself is your artwork.

My sister made a linecut for her art assigment in grade school. Her design was Noah's ark on the high seas with animals, Noah reaching up to clouds. Lovely little piece which we came across the other day. 🤗

I think this video made me realize how much I miss high school. I am now almost finished with my third year towards getting a CS degree and I just miss the fun times I used to have in high school art class. The linoleum prints were probably my favorite project.

I’ve done some print making in my art classes before, and it’s always so satisfying when you’re rolling out the ink! Although it’s so stressful making sure you cut carefully around the pattern and don’t cut too deep lol 🧡

It's actually a really tough plastic called linographs, you can order them online at a small price and get a lino cutter at your local craft store for really cheap!! Nice work on the print! ❤️

This is linoleum…the linoleum is hard but soft and firm to carve…tools can be found at an art store or I’m sure online…You can use the same print after drying and add another color…and repeat again.
