I think what I like the most about this room is that most nurseries need a complete rehaul once the baby is grown up, but I feel like once you take out the crib this room could very easily become a very elegant home office.

This was so beautiful and wholesome. The story, the concept, the paying tribute. I was crying with her and I don't have a child but to be able to bring so much love and family into one room is such an undescribable feeling. Beautiful!!! I had a baby in February. Everyone thought I needed some kind of a cartoon character theme. I'm not the cartoon character nursery kind of mom. This is just classy, and no need to redecorate in a few years because it won't go out of style and the baby won't outgrow this theme!! I'm the crazy mom who is moving (on Monday) with a 6 month old baby. This makes me want to paint a dark accent wall on his new nursery. That wall is just so pretty!

I love the sophistication of this nursery; even the traditional baby elements avoided being cliche. It’s not my style at all but I just might like it as much ( maybe more!) than the nurseries we created for our children. When I was pregnant with our first, I could not handle doing up a nursery. My “nesting instinct” never came for any of my pregnancies. I turned over the creation of baby’s room to my husband. I’m so glad I did. My husband and his family did an amazing job. My husband chose space as a theme. The colors were red, yellow, and lots of blue. All of the women in my husband’s family are sewers so we had custom bedding, blankets, pillows, and they even went to one of those pottery stores where you can paint the items. My kids have light switch plates painted by their grandmother that have been in every bedroom they’ve ever had. Even now that they are grown, they are still using the switch plates. The switch plates are wonderful (and practical) keepsakes since she passed away while they were still little kids. I’m a die hard DIYer so I love handmade/custom items. I’ve always thought our nursery theme was the best; this is the first time I’ve seen a nursery that I liked as much. I also love that I can create a version of the mobile in this video myself.

The green wall and those woods in the furniture just complimented each other so well! Love the Wayfair chair you are waiting for and can tell it will look beautiful in the room. She didn't notice the family tree at first, but I bet it becomes her favorite part over time. Definitely is mine. This gave me flashbacks to when I was married to a contractor - it was SO NICE having some help 1) that had skills 2) that was taller & (yes) stronger than me, 3) had tools already, 4) was free labour and sometimes he'd come home with extra items unused or torn out from jobs that would have gone to ReStore or a place like that.
