Never made my own trace before watching this video. Went piking yesterday and used my own tied rigs but didn't catch as weather was too hot but never mind there is always next time. Thanks guys for all the tips and keep it up !

I tried this method but the wire came undone, maybe the wire I am using is not soft enough, Drennan 7 strand, 9kg which is 20lb, bought around 25 years ago but not used until recently. It works fine with crimps.

Its worse with softer wires
