Duayne as long as you drill a hole and weld on a nut that you can tighten down there won't be any movement. Also if you put your radiator on the front like mine I'd make a bracket to attach the radiator to then make it detachable from the stand with pins that way you can remove the radiator quickly in case you wanna do a cam swap instead of unbolting it.

I was originally going to go with a factory 4 row radiator but found this.Kewl radiator with 1" tubes and had built in holes to mount it for $139.00! You can buy them off eBay just make sure they have the mounting holes! If you decide to stick with a factory radiator I believe megs sale some universal mounts or you can make your own. I have a pretty easy idea for mounts so hit me up if your interested! Thanks!

Never use any other plug in a engine except for OE, I wouldn’t even have wasted my time starting it with those plugs! If a customer has me install their own parts I let them know before I even start that they will be charged twice if there is an issue do to non OE parts! I have seen more check engine lights caused by the installation of aftermarket parts!

Man that came out nice. Awesome job. I looked into buying one only to be discouraged on how overpriced they are. I found one that was built really well (Easy Run) but $2k for one isn't in my budget. I found a cheaper one (Mighty Mount) which was reasonable but it looks like they made it out of tin. Garbage. I figured it'd be a lot easier to build one myself how I want it set up and done.

from thebatteryDOTc0m " Will a battery be damaged or discharged by letting it sit on concrete? NO! the myth that concrete drains batteries does have some historical basis. .. hard rubber cases, which were somewhat porous and had a high-carbon content. An electrical current could be conducted through this container if the moist concrete floor permitted the current to find an electrical ground.... battery containers have been made of polypropylene, which is a highly insulative material."

Running an engine with a flex plate only and not a flywheel isn't a real great idea. The reason the flywheels are so heavy is to make up for the minute + or - of the rotating assembly .They only get them close at the factory. For near a thousand dollars a set of rods an pistons will get you closer but even those will have a gram one way or the other on one or two. That's 16 separate weights. Its why you send the rotating ass. out to get it balanced to obtain the higher rpm range with a small harmonic and aluminum flywheel. The flywheel is not just used to start an engine the rotating ass. relies on the torque of the weight to compensate. Factory cranks are usually off a mile or two.

Anthony Cantrell Anthony, I couldn't get anywhere at the sight you mentioned but that is ok. I found your previous you tube videos and was able to make a material list from them. I have seen several designs on the internet and yours looked well thought out. I wondered what size of material would be stable in use. Your 2 and 1 1/2 tubing didn't wiggle in use. I thank you for replying. I like the tool tray above the radiator but have considered making a removable gage and control stand at the rear. I want to keep the battery and gas can on opposite ends. I'll see how that plays out while building it. Thank You!

This engine stand was built to break the camshaft in. You don't have to have a load on the engine to break the cam in,seal the engine rings, check for fuel and water leaks or to bake the engine/header paint. It was designed to run a new engine at approximately 1800-2200 RPM for about 20 minutes with cam break in lube that way you don't prematurely wear a cam lobe off!
