Thank you! I’ve been using it off and on throughout the summer and it’s been flawless. I don’t use the wifi features much so I can’t say much about software bugs, but the fan itself has been reliable and plenty sufficient for my needs. I rarely had to turn it up past the ~5th speed.

Well for me personally i don't care how much smart features this fan have! I want to know how much powerful this fan is, and does this fan would do the job in room size 5m x 4m !?
@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan 3 ай бұрын
For a 5x4m room, this fan might be on the smaller side. With oscillation engaged, I’m sure it can project the air throughout the entire space, but the power of the airflow will taper off in the far corners of the room that’s opposite to the fan’s. I would say two of these fans can adequately serve a 5x4m room. It’s pretty hard to find a single non-industrial portable fan that can handle a very large room.

I am seeing some reviews of this fan that shows that it can be pointed a bit down towards the floor and yours shows it being pointed at the ceiling but only going as low as level.
@TheSuperFanMan

I’ve noticed that as well. It’s possible that Dreo updated this model’s design recently to improve the vertical oscillation range, but my fan only goes from horizontal to straight up at its maximum vertical oscillation range setting.

Wow, I've never seen a blade so steep before! Is the grill able to smooth out the airflow considering how deep the blade pitch is?
@TheSuperFanMan

Yep! The grille and the enclosure do a very good job at focusing the airflow. I tested the fan without the front grille on and the airflow is nowhere as smooth or concentrated.

Hey, so i just got a Vornado, same design as your Electrohome air circulator, except it’s a variable speed, and I was wondering, how do you take the front grille off?
@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan 9 ай бұрын
The three “legs” of the grille sit in metal tabs. Use both hands to push the legs one at a time towards the centre and outwards. They should pop out. Once one leg comes out, the remaining two will come out with little effort. Just be careful not to let the legs scratch the paint.

Hi there! Just when I thought this fan's blades couldn't possibly spin ANY faster - it tops it like it's no big deal. As if the previous speed was merely child's play. Is this fan good for any sized bedroom? And can you feel the air from further away in a room? Like does it have good reach? I'm a shift worker so I DREAD the summer heat when I have to sleep in the heat while the world is awake. I don't tolerate heat well. What's your take on this? I've got an AC unit but I also crash at my parent's place for my 12 hour shifts to save on much needed sleep and gas. The ceiling fan is fine but doesn't help much during the peak summer heat. Thanks in advance!
@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan 4 ай бұрын
Hi! This fan definitely would work in most bedrooms, even living rooms too depending on the size. My room is 11 x 11 ft and it’s plenty powerful even running on medium speeds. I’m sure it can handle larger rooms without an issue. This is an air circulator, which is a type of fan that projects air in a concentrated, narrow column, so on higher speeds it probably would be overbearingly powerful if pointed directly at yourself. You can feel the effects of the fan more comfortably if you angle the fan in your general direction but letting the air bounce off nearby walls. Hope it helps!

@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan 9 ай бұрын
That’s a really good deal! I don’t have plans to buy a Dyson unfortunately. Cleaning is usually a challenge on Dyson fans and heaters because the fan component is enclosed in the base. I believe the upper half does come off, so you could blast the insides with an air compressor to get rid of most build-up. I wouldn’t recommend submerging any part in water to clean it, especially since this is the fan + heater combo model.

As simple as that grill and blade disassembly is (which is nice). How easy is it to oil, as it will come a time when it needs to be (if it hasn't failed by then). Also one issue I do see due to the amount of features on it, I guess it has a lot of circuitry on it which can fail. And I would imagine would be annoying to replace
@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan 9 ай бұрын
That's a good point! It's inevitable that a fan with more electronics have a greater chance of failing than a fully mechanical fan. We'll have to see how this fan holds up. This motor has ball bearings, so they would have to be replaced rather than oiled when they reach the end of their lifespan.

So let's talk about oscillating fans and air circulators for a minute, they don't lower the temperature of the air they're moving they just move it, so if you're not in the path of that moving air you're not getting ANY of the benefits of it's operation, so what's the point of letting it oscillate around the room into areas you're not sitting in because that's a waste of electricity and will benefit nobody..makes no sense.
@TheSuperFanMan
@TheSuperFanMan Ай бұрын
That’s true, but: - the moving air often bounces off nearby walls and ceiling, so the user will still feel the airflow. Some people prefer that sensation over a direct breeze. - If the fan is being used in conjunction with AC, it’ll help distribute the cool air evenly around the room. If the fan is way underpowered for the room dimensions, then yes it would be a waste to have it pointing away from the user since there would be no air being bounced back.
@malibustacy3606
@malibustacy3606 Ай бұрын
@@TheSuperFanMan Funny you should say that, because the idea of using the air conditioner sparingly and using a fan to circulate the cooler air it's produced around the room has gained popularity with me 40 years later, I couldn't get the room cold enough 40 years ago and now I couldn't possibly be comfortable in a room under those conditions...the problem..too many birthdays.
