I had a heart attack and was in ICU for 4 days, got 5 stents. I was 'pre diabetic' but the food they served was all carbs and sugar. My wife was bringing me real food. On sunday they brought my lunch, it was an English muffin, hash browns, and oatmeal with candy-jelly and sugar syrup plus peaches swimming in liquid sugar. I didn't eat any of it. Then a nurse came in and said they were concerned I wasn't eating. I said 'I'm not eating any of that crap, it will spike my blood sugar'. So she left but came back with 4 other nurses and they asked me what I wanted to eat. I said 'a couple of scrambled eggs' They all burst out laughing, saying I can't have that with my heart condition. Totally clueless, or just purposely trying to make my condition worse so I'm a repeat customer. The heart doctor came in and told me to be SURE to take the Statins every day. He said 'think of them as vitamins for your heart'. I couldn't believe he said that! Lost all respect for him at that moment. It's been 2 years, I eat Keto and am doing quite well.

How was your diet before the heart attack? My mom was put on statins and I really want to help her get off them. She's always eaten very healthy, never drank or smoked. Her heart problems stem from the stress of my father cheating on her constantly over decades of marriage 😢

Doctors are unfortunately trained and then obliged to give meds. The reverse complaint would have been "Aren't you going to prescribe me statins?... If I get a heart attack and die, my family and lawyers will come after you!" Don't blame your doctor. They are in a system where it is very difficult for them to go outside the protocols and not risk getting into trouble...

I am 47 years-old and never been healthier and sharper mentally than I am now and it all thanks to the decision that I made two years ago ; I decided to quit alcohol completely, started doing OMAD (One Meal A Day ) , cut off all sugar from my diet and I decided to hit the gym 6 times a week, resting on Sundays.. Fast forward two years, it has been a life changing journey to say the least . My sleep has improved dramatically, after I turn off the lights within three minutes I fall asleep never waking up in the middle of the night. Because I quit alcohol no more headaches and hangovers on the weekends, feels GREAT to wake up at 6 am on a Sunday morning feeling completely rested.. Because I quit sugar and all sugar foods my brain fog has disappeared .. The best medicine I believe is preventive medicine .. It is a lot easier to prevent cancer and heart disease than curing them ..Be proactive about your health, live a lifestyle that never lets you need these doctors ..

Don't get gym too much, it's needed only for carb eaters to burn carbs and detox themselves hard way. When you don't eat this poison you doing it easy way and don't need to work out hard and if you don't need to look like Arnold you only need to go to gym once or twice a week. If you will do it too often you may hurt yourself abs shorten your life.

I had an intense conversation with my GP doctor a couple years back about nutrition and testing to see what nutrients I was lacking. She would not prescribe the tests (I'm on Medicare/Medicaid) because they were not indicated...meaning I wasn't showing signs of malnutrition according to her training. I told her that was backward thinking in a "healthcare" and "preventative" model, because by the time I'm sick, it is often too late. She told me that was not how she was trained. I told her that that sucked for her! She doesn't see me anymore unless I have something she can handle and my "annual checkup", when I get a few blood tests she thinks I need (thyroid, blood sugar, cholesterol). I get most of my information from the alternative thinkers like you, then try it on myself, and have found my own way to a healthier old body. Thanks!!!

@lyndylou3642 I have been a Registered Medical Assistant for five years now, and I'm disgusted by the way the doctors I've worked for hand out meds like candy! They don't give them any advice for their new "disease" and if the patient asks for dietary help, they are referred to a Registered Dietitian. Of course, they are trained the dogma of the standard American diet, which only keeps people sick. I have turned my health around 180° in the last two years thanks to Dr. Berg and others who put people's health ahead of profits. I have not been allowed to share any of my knowledge with patients, even when they directly ask what I've done to lose weight and achieve great health. I am currently in school to become a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist. My passion is to help people get their lives back! So glad you followed your passion too! Thank you for the encouragement.

Numb and alter. One of the best things to happen in my life was, finally-finally, stumbled upon proper nutrition and what the carb madness was all about. All the proof I needed was in the ”just try it”. I’m just a layman, so I keep it simple. When I stray off the path or go back to the dark side my body lets me know something is a miss. Lots of meat, good veggies, salt and electrolytes. Eat OMAD, exercise, life is good. Chasing 80, one learns that mobility and health are pretty important. Keep it simple, go outside, enjoy the day(s). ☀️

Several months ago I showed my neurologist my lab results, he said, cholesterol high, take a pill. I said no, is there something natural I can do? He said walk 2x a day, get out in the early morning sun and cut the carbs. Yesterday, Saw my pcp, blood pressure up (always up at her office) she says cut the salt, cut the red meat, monitor the pressure at home (I had lost 17 pounds). Go to neurologist, he says, I know you like natural, try holy basil, other herbs, keep up the weight loss and low carbs, good job. He is from India, doesn't mind talking about alternative medicine in conjunction with other meds.

I'm a 72 yr old 4th Gen Christian Science Healer (who doesn't do church). Because i have observed the Mind/body connection I haven't had a dr visit since I was getting school shots. I was blessed that I did not have TV/Commercials as a small child that would have programmed me into expecting to be Not Healthy. Nor do I accept that getting older means Non Health. I walk a mile for groceries. If I EAT it it's because I COOKed it.

My cholesterol (combined, HDL/LDL) is a little over 120. My ex-cardiologist was pushing statins on me at every curve. I did research and found no hard data supporting benefit of those drugs. So I pushed back. Once I had the opportunity, I changed cardiologists and made it clear to not even bring up the topic. I'm enraged at big pharma already from the covid hype/disaster of 2021.

The amazing thing I recently found out was people with high levels of cholesterol are more resistant to Alzheimer's and dementia. Apparently our brains thrive on fat. I have been approached to have statins twice. The trouble is, when you research side effects of lethagy, joint pain, brainfog, it is pretty scary. If I start down that road of drugs I could be likely disabled or dead within the next decade.

After falling off of the Keto diet, I gained my weight back and developed arthritis in both knees. I knew that going back to a carb diet would have negative consequences. I went to a doctor to discuss my arthritis. I already knew before I even opened my mouth that he would do one of two things. Well ... he did both. First: he suggested pain-killing drugs and hormone treatments. Second: he suggested surgery. In other words, he's a symptomologist. I don't really even know why I went to a “doctor” when I already know the answer to my problem. Diet!! This dude never even mentioned diet even though I told him about my experience on the Keto diet. He just gave me a blank stare. Sad! More sad is the fact that I haven't the will power to do what I must do.

When I was pregnant about 20 years ago, I had gestational diabetes. I saw a nutritionist to help with my blood sugar. Looking back, much of the diet still had carbs. No wonder I had to go on insulin towards the end of my pregnancy. Since then, I have lost a lot of weight. I now exercise and have been working on my diet for 16 years. Now I’m finally only eating mostly protein and have OMAD. I feel so much better!

I so appreciate your work! You helped save my life! I try to help others by recommending your information and your channel to others. However most of them are so convinced that their doctor is right and this info is wrong. They are not open minded to trying something that works because it's opposite of what their Dr told them. I listened in on a family conversation yesterday and I tried to offer a few good points for them (since you helped save my life I thought I could offer some help) but I was told that I was wrong a couple of times so I just shut up. Then towards the end of the conversation I heard them say 'I just wish I could talk to someone who can help us'. I wish them luck with their doctors in my mind. Hope y'all figure it out before it's too late.

I think I speak for most of us here when I say, we appreciate you, Dr. Berg! You will most likely get attacked for this video, but it wouldn't be new to you and many others like us that speak the truth. Telling the truth these days, is a revolutionary act. Now, just a quick little story about me and red meat. When I started my health journey, I did carnivore first as my "reset diet" for 90 days with intermittent fasting. After my 90 days, I slowly reintroduced the salads, pecans, avocados, cheeses, etc, then eventually became full ketovore, which is my current way of life. I truly believe that ketovore and intermittent fasting is the ultimate lifestyle. Carnivore proved to me just how healthy fatty grass-fed red meat is, not only for gut health, but overall health and well-being.

In reference to medication: an ophthalmologist THOUGHT that I may have had glaucoma. he prescribed these eyedrops for me. I can’t remember the name. I looked up the side effects. The side effects were nightmares and eye color change. Needless to say, I did not use these eyedrops. Also, as I suspected, I do not have glaucoma. I read JAMA, and Lippincott 1st edition and everything I could get my hands on as a kid. I own a second edition Lippincott I found at an estate sale for .50 perfect condition. I refer back to things we used to know and do for better health in my personal life…. Americans take 75% of the world’s prescribed medications 😂😂😂. We love a “quick fix”…. So I don’t teach better health to people I encounter because most Americans are already addicted to their pill box from the drug dealer in the white coat😂😂😂
