1:18 3 things that trigger insulin: Carbs, eating, insulin resistance 3:55 You need to do the healthy version of ketogenic diet, you need to do intermittent fasting 4:02 You can add the following to take it to the next level: • Lemon • Apple cider vinegar • cinnamon 4:30 Apple cider vinegar has acetic acid and acetic acid is a potent blood sugar lowering compound, it will help make insulin more sensitive and less resistant, it will help lower your blood sugars even if you eat some carbs. 4:54 In lemon there's various things, there's citric acid, there's phytonutrients, there's vitamin C. The phytonutrients in lemon juice make insulin more sensitive and they make insulin less resistant. 5:50 Cinnamon has a potent effect on making insulin more sensitive and helping your blood sugars be more regulated. In one study they took 543 diabetics and gave them cinnamon and the average person dropped their blood sugars by 24 points which is very significant. 6:39 The other cool thing about lemon, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon is that they all tend to help reduce fat on your liver, and like discussed they reduce insulin, they help blood sugars, they also help regulate your cholesterol, they help your liver make more bile, lemon water also has citrates to decrease your risk of getting kidney stones and all 3 are very anti-inflammatory. 7:10 Instructions: • Water: 16 ounces • Lemon juice: 1 ounce - or a whole lemon • Apple cider vinegar: 1 to 2 tablespoons (Bragg's not recommended by Dr. Berg, Fairchild's is recommended) • Cinnamon: a pinch Shake it up or blend the whole thing, if you don't like the taste you might want to add a few drops of liquid stevia. Some people also use Dr. Berg's electrolyte powder (one scoop). Drink the whole thing before your meal. Thank you Dr. Berg Sincerely, 11 : 11 Meditation Portal Channel

I personally lost 30 kg of weight without losing any muscle and strength. Losing fat is incredibly easy if you know what your doing. When I lose fat, my diet is high protein, high fat and very low carb. This worked great for me. I do strength and lactic acid training, and I also do cardio 2x a week (1x HIIT and 1x steady state). If there is one advice I can give to anyone struggling to lose fat, then it is to AVOID CARBS! This keeps insulin low and improves insulin sensitivity. Eat high protein and healthy fats, especially MCTs.

How do you manage these drinks when you’re fasting? Do you take one before a meal (eating window) or do you drink them through the day without it breaking your fast? I find I have a lot more energy if I eat two small meals a day. One big feed a day (OMAD) makes me feel awfully lethargic and sick - so the less I stimulate the insulin response the better.

Back in 2014 at 6.8 I was in the "high risk for diabetes" category my weight was 104kg but in 6 weeks on a keto shake diet I lost 10kg and ALL my readings returned to normal blood sugar 4.5 cholesterol normal (instead of almost needing cholesterol medication) and also my heartburn I was on maximum medication levels but after 6 weeks I went off the heartburn medication altogether. The only heartburn medication that had worked for me was the absolute strongest stuff and I worried because that medication causes osteoporosis for sure. But I just couldn't get rid of the heartburn until I lost weight. Then suddenly it was gone along with all my other health problems including angina. IT WORKS, don't wait until you're diabetic or until you have a stroke or a heart attack. You don't need a doctor to tell you you're fine if you know you're not fine. Choose to be healthy. I lost 40kg in 18months and I looked and felt awesome I walked 90minutes every morning on an incline and I swear I lost the most weight during the 4 months I gave up caffeine and soft drinks I found it almost impossible to stick to my diet when I started them up again, not realising it was the chemical sweeteners destroying my insulin resistance that made sticking to my diet so difficult. . Make the change its so worth it. You can do it ! ❤

Hi Dr. Berg, I would like to personally thank you for all of the information you kindly share with us. I went to my GP (England) and had a blood test. She said my liver function was fine but my belly is so big, I look 4 months pregnant! When I spoke to her about insulin resistance, she just said this is not possible because my liver function is healthy and my blood sugar is good but this is based on a fasting blood test result. If this is the case about my liver, why am I so over weight? I struggled to lose weight on my belly for a long time and since following your advice and starting intermittent fasting (week three now), ACV in water before a meal, I have noticed a difference for sure. This week I have extended my fast by two hours and my God, it has helped so much! I don't understand why UK Doctors are not shedding light on the benefits of ACV and fasting, if they told me this months ago (after constant appointments about my belly), I would be in a much better position today. But thanks to you, I am already feeling better. So, thank you for providing us with the education and information that GP's fail to provide! I will drinking this every day before my evening meal as of today!

The last fasting insulin I did was about 6 or 8 months ago. At that time it was 10 after a 78 hour fast. I have been what i call "paleo plus" which is the same as keto but i restrict a few things that i react to: nightshades, alliums etc. In 2012 I was on 200u insulin a day plus victoza, actos, and they were trying to come up with more. I was following my "endocrinologist's" instructions to a T and vigorous exercise for 1&1/2 hours daily and getting worse. I threw out all advice, quit eating carbs, started horsing down porterhouses and cut back my exercise to swimming a mile every day and doing yoga. I used garcinia cambogia from life extensions (experience with other brands was not good) and in a year lost over 100#, and weaned off of all diabetic meds. My need for supplements still runs high because I have many more environmental health issues I'm dealing with. I have been eating cinnamon on everything I cook, made my own acv for a while and I make chicken soup with whole lemons that I eat with the chicken. I'm waiting on results from a fasting insulin from a week ago. Does anyone know if cooked lemons retain their beneficial properties? Keep going everybody! This is tough, and it works, and for me, it's not as tough as being really sick all the time!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I have been doing intermittent fasting for about 3 months, eating less and less carbs, llosing no weight and when I would fat for 18 hours, usually everyday, my blood sugar is elevated, still. Gluconeogenesis is the answer along with insulin resistance. I have been so frustrated and ready to quite so many times thinking nothing was changing. Sure enough things are changing, the body is trying to clean up the sugars, which takes a while, longer than I thought. Thank you for your wisdom. I will continue and will fight on!

@nvalles25652 жыл бұрын
You need to go almost no carb. Eat meats only and try that. Eggs and bacon, steaks, salmon. Eat nothing else unless it’s butter or a good oil. Then drink the lemon and cinnamon water. I prefer it in tea. Maybe green tea. You must be having some kinda of sugars. Maybe a small amount of carbs or even gummy vitamins? Your putting sugars in somewhere. If you don’t put them in you body will burn through what you have first before fat.

As Dr. Berg has explained in other videos some people dealing with a very high insulin resistance can only eat one meal a day, some every other day! I bought size 000 gelatin capsules and a dropper with bottle, to fill capsules with Apple Cider Vinegar. They will eventually become goopy/burst but not by the time you can close the capsule after filling it with ACV then swallowing it. I've found this is the easiest way to ingest ACV. Drinking it diluted to me still was risky considering it increasing acidity in the mouth. Edit: This is also great for Garlic and Ginger.

Excellent info! I am on Keto (Omad) and started using lemon juice along with apple cider vinegar in my electrolyte drink because it is way too sweetened (for me) with Stevia and I'd always dread drinking it. I add one scoop of powdered electrolytes, the juice of 1 lemon and 1 T of Fairchild's vinegar to a 20 oz Swig water bottle and top that off with water. With those additions, the drink is actually something I look forward to. It tastes great and I cant even detect the vinegar. My water bottle has a pop-up tab and I can drink without it touching my teeth, protecting them from the acid. I advise to otherwise use a straw or the enamel might be compromised over time. I usually drink this concoction twice per day. One tip I can share is that if you freeze your lemons, (rock hard) and then thaw them at room temperature, you can get a whole lot more juice out of them. Freezing will burst the tiny juice sacks in the lemons. I used to put them straight in the microwave, turning every 20 seconds until thawed,...but I stopped doing that because I figured the heat might destroy some of the vitamin C. Freezing is also a great way to buy lemons in bulk (I buy at Costco) and you won't waste any before you can eat them all. Good health to all!

I am rather frustrated trying to lose weight and seeking some miracle diet to do the trick but unfortunately its an endless struggle as its so difficult with some people like myself who have a very slow metabolism, the fact that foods whether meat or vegetables have hormones or even fast grown food which we eat today donnot help in quick results... we try to battle with one side of dieting when we find there are so many spheres, as you mention in your videos, to consider and we require to balance out many issues of the body function to reach our goals. I have thyroid, blood pressure and on the verge of diabetes 2 which I have naturally tackled to keep down the count and have done well in my perseverance. Its not lack of trying but its obvious a person like myself has to permanently change their eating habits. With that said I find all your videos very interesting, informative and helpful and will not stop in the endeavour to get to an accepted weight for my age and height. Thanks a lot.❤

As a type 1 diabetic of 34 years I am very confident I am not dealing with too much insulin as I know exactly what I take each day and it is very little. However, I am struggling with recent weight gain and it is frustrating because I am doing it all as recommended. I came across a study on long COVID (I had COVID in December of 2020, didn’t get sick just lost sense of smell and felt lethargic). What I found in the study very much described what I was dealing with. The recommendation was adding melatonin and sunlight exposure (I am very active outside hiking, mountain bike or gravel cycling at least five days a week for several hours). I added 20mg of melatonin and purchased a medical grade red light and have had a huge improvement in energy and started loosing fat. What the study found was the inability to use fat for energy creation in mitochondria in long COVID patients. I suspect more people are suffering then realize and the solution has been pretty simple. I wish the information was easier to find but the study itself is fairly recent. As for the daily drink, I had been relying on Diet Coke out of desperation due to fatigue (I know awful but as a mother to five that is very active it is an easy trap to fall into when no one seems to be listening to you about not being “right”) I drop the DC cold and started making soda water using a soda stream (got it for free otherwise would make drink without it) I add the juice of one lemon, the juice of one lime, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and maybe a teaspoon of honey from my bees (takes the edge off and my kids drink it willingly so a compromise I am willing to make plus the potential allergy benefits). I got the idea from another video where you recommend the lemon and Apple cider vinegar and I must say two weeks into it I feel like my gut health is improving too. My bloodsugars didn’t need any help and my insulin dosing can’t really get much lower so that help is hard to notice but it really is beneficial for how it helps one feel. I have had better regulation when exercising like my fat burning threshold has gotten higher before I have to start watching that my body can manage the switch to needing carbs vs fat on endurance rides.
