I highly value cerebral football, and do not appreciate athleticism very much. Brees, Manning, Brady, and Montana are my kind of quarterbacks. Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Brett Favre have never been the type of quarterbacks I can appreciate, because they seem to approach the game from an athletic standpoint rather than from a pre-snap intelligence, timing, tempo, and rhythm standpoint. Hence, Purdy has obviously shown that he is the kind of quarterback whose game I have great respect and appreciation for.

Brees became a sellout a few years ago when he took back his comments on the national anthem. He meant what he originally said and I stand with him.
