We have ourselves a number one contender in the heavy breathing into the microphone division; Drew McWeeny is now going to face Brenden Meyer for this particular title. It was good to see McWeeny back, and he didn't look too out of game shape today. His broad knowledge base is still there and he did a good job to navigate himself through round one. He got snakebit a bit for sure in round two, but he probably could have benefited from a re-spin; and he forgot to do the 'slow yourself down to answer the question' type of thing will come back the more he plays. McWeeny got a really tricky five as well, but I think he'll be back. Lon Harris is a streaky player, and we got good Lon today. He smoked every single question in round one and did a good job to navigate round two. He could have challenged the horribly worded 'her' question and tried to get a new one if he got it wrong, but fortunately it didn't come into play at all. I really hope that he gets JTE because the entertainment value alone would be absolutely amazing. Plus Lon's post interview had me in stitches; the delinquent is a fantastic character.

Super happy lon got the win after everyone was bad mouthing him for his performance in the last final exam teams match. He is awesome!! I think Drew had a bit of ring rust but look forward to him being back in the league. Hoping his team matches go better like they usually do.

I enjoy the Schmoedown immensely--however, can there be a brief, pre-match instructional session with the players so that they know exactly WHERE to hold their whiteboard/note pad/paper in front of the camera, so their answers are FULLY VISIBLE? Seeing a few letters or a 1/4 of a board is frustrating and looks sloppy.

I now firmly believe that that loss of Final Exam against Shazam was a one off. Well a two off, I guess. Lon was dominant here as was Oyama against Bibbs and both faced opponents that most of the roster would be shaking in their boots to face and came in swinging. I fully expect FE to dominate in the tag tournament coming up.

Spoilers! I'm so happy Lon won, I thought it was gonna be the Godfather's match, I even voted for him in the twitter pool, but it's great seeing Lon win, he needed that after that Final Exam match. That being said, it sucks that a bad-written question (cause it was) costed a tko. That would have taken away 1 point in the faction ranking, so yeah, a bit bittersweet, but I'm still happy about the results, it was a great match minus that detail.

This season they have had so many people I like go against each other. I enjoy the battle but then feel bad when one of them loses, so bittersweet. Both played great, even though McWeeny didn't win he still played amazingly and had no rust. So I'm sure he can easily get back into this and I look forward to seeing him more. Congrats to Lon and SWAG, glad their getting some points. Yes, it's definitely great to see SWAG smiling again. Yep, hated that bs storyline, won't apologize for it, and glad it's freaking over. lol I'm hot and cold with it. Sometimes it's a good storyline, and sometimes it's just bad and annoying (Like the coup storyline with Winston was SMH) I do sometimes miss when it was just about the trivia without the storylines though. As for the managers, I do think too much attention is on them sometimes but I do enjoy watching Winston and Coy cause their fun to watch. I wonder when they go back to the studio if it will go back to how it was, where you only saw the managers in some post match videos, when their competitor spun the wheel, and during the post match interview. They were meant to be in the background before they became more central in digital. Man I miss the studio, I hope their back there soon.

The Godfather still struggles with playing the game. Great knowledge, but he has never learned to play the game. Nowadays, you can’t just take a category that you’re ok in, and Sam knows this. Early use of JTEs in the third round, and if I’m not mistaken, he had one more JTE, and decided to just guess. Needed to take more time. Thats a shame.
