Standing ovation for the two rookies in this match. This feels like a double star making rookie match; similar to Oyama vs Meyer's first match. Bancroft was a freaking wizard today. There were some tough questions that he never let rattle him at all. He did really well to apply pressure throughout the match; especially in round two. His broad knowledge base is really impressive and he did a very good job pacing himself throughout the match. Plus, he seems to be having a lot of fun too. Whoever gets Bancroft next is going to have their hands full. Blunden played extremely well today as well. Perfect round one and seven points in round two is quite impressive no matter how you slice it. The gameplay is really there and the broad knowledge base is really impressive. I don't think the pressure got to him too much since he said he hadn't seen either of the two movies he missed questions on in round three; and sometimes you get unlucky like that. Blunden is no joke, and whoever he gets next is going to have a rough go ahead of them.

I think we have a new rivalry now between Shannon and Steph and I'm here for it. The way Steph was barely phased by anything Shannon says was astounding. The Queen is going to crack her though. Loving the cutscenes with Ellis and I'm glad their giving him more. lol He was giving me Pai Mei vibes in that scene torturing Ghai. I haven't really been impressed by most of these boring rookies, but these two did pretty damn good. So along with that guy that just beat Hueck, I can see them having good careers in the Schmoedown if they always play like this. Congrats to Jacoby and The Stars.

Gotta agree with the Bibs/Andreyko and Oyama/Kid vibes from this match. Both of these guys have a lot of knowledge and it all comes down being able to pull that knowledge out. I think Jacoby had the most impressive answer with that American Hustle pull, but Jacoby nailed everything in front of him and would have been interesting to see if he could have fought off a full 10 point round in the end. Look forward to seeing both again.

Jnango unchained was quite guessable, definitely western names. Minor characters....... That was his western with a large ensemble. Didn't even use a repeat in question 2.... Maybe really didn't have the slightest clue.... In which case it could have been what not to use one.. Good knowledge...... Just needs experience and more rigorous training. Managers and veteran players, you need to work out your rookies harder..... Not in knowledge but situation drills.
