On the origin of the Dwemer. I have two personal theories. First: It is possible that the velothi migration could have attracted not only the zealous worshippers who agreed with Veloth but also any dissidents who disagreed with the culture of summerset. Discontents and the like. The Dwemer then would have been the first to have left, the forward scouting party who established their homes and primative citadels first by the time the chimer would arrive. The ones who the prophet Veloth would know were in a place where his people could survive. So while the velothi would be first planting their first crops the dwemer would already have their first young cities. The dwemer the first elves to settle Tamriel's mainland. Secondly: it is possible the Dwemer are relatives of the Left-Handed elves, colonists who were cast adrift in the sea of ghosts and who landed on the coast of Resdayn. The destruction of Yokuda and the Dwemer's own lack of sentimentality obscuring the connection into obscurity.

I really don’t understand why Bethesda couldn’t have given us one more canon story DLC for Skyrim, considering how many times it was re-released. It’s just idiotic leadership at this point, for them to neglect such a loyal fanbase that never wavers in interest even 12-13 years after the last mainline game in the series was released is just sad, imagine if they put all of that effort they put into CC, remastered, and anniversary edition into one more DLC…

Two Things: Thing 1) Does anyone else find it weird that when Nerevar told Dumac to "give up your worship of the Heart of Lorkhan" Dumac claimed that worshiping the Heart was a tradition of his people dispite the fact Dumac supposedly had no idea that Kagrenac had found it? Did the Dwemer worship Lorkhan? And if so, have the other Elven races(primarily the Dunmer/Chimer) covered that up? Thing 2) Can we please have the next of Vivvek's sermons?
@jogglenoggle95799 ай бұрын
It seems reasonable that they could held some amount of reverence for Lorkhan's heart (the doom-drum providing the ultimate background for all tonal magicks), and could even have been searching for the heart.
@EdaugEthanbYT9 ай бұрын
It’s also possible that Dumac was simply pissed that as he saw it, Nerevar was attempting to get the Dwemer to worship the Chimer’s gods. He heard Nerevar say give up your ways and so he refused in anger

I don't think it was "worship" in the way the other races view it. More like a "reverence" of the Heart's power and the abilities it granted them via its blood (the lava) for their creations.
@Im-Not-a-Dog5 ай бұрын
Dumac would have had no reason to refer to the "Worship of the Heart of Lorkhan" as something his people had done for "generations", since the Heart was only recently discovered and its discovery was kept secret from him by Kagrenac.

Look up Terrance Mckenna's writings on "Machine/Clockwork Elves". Kirkbride and Kulhman are both fans of Mckenna's and the dwemer are partially inspired by these "clockwork elves" that apparently exist and communicate to us through incoherent tones and music (tonal architecture) when we take psychedelics. Which psychedelics? Mckenna's favorite. The psilocybin mushroom. Now look up Mckenna's concept of the "heroic dose". Where one takes a very high dosage in complete darkness. Mckenna said the sensory deprivation allows the mushrooms to "unbind" your ego from the material and allow you to transcend and discover the nature of reality. Now read Calcelmo's stone again. You now know what the Dwemer were trying to do with the falmer. It was an attempt to somehow unbind them from the earthbones through blindness and possibly other experiments.
@theonlybilge9 ай бұрын
Typical druggie brainfry then.
@neohyberboreantechnosteppe31858 ай бұрын
Great comment! That "unbind from the earthbones" gave me the same idea about what kind of experiments the Dwemer did to them, but that connection to the mushrooms and the "heroic dose" is amazing. Perhaps this explains the current nature of the Falmer, some aspect of their consciousness or soul was unbound through mushrooms and/or tonal magic, while the husks remain to lurk in the caverns.
@WASDLeftClick8 ай бұрын
Perhaps the Falmer were a failed experiment. They tried to see if transcendence could be reached alchemically and tested it out on the Snow Elves.

Im wondering, if boethiah and her fellow good daedra claim that the mundus was a test for mortals to become makers (gods?), wouldn't that mean the dwemer, who found a way to be gods through there "wit" actually accomplished what they wanted mortals to do. And if so wouldn't that make what azura did kinda contradict the good daedra's whole goal?
@neohyberboreantechnosteppe31858 ай бұрын
It's an interesting point, maybe the good daedra thought the Dwemer where "doing it wrong". The Chimer idea of the ascension isn't simply mortals becoming gods, returning to the Aurbis, but going beyond, to achieve the same enlightenment as Lorkhan did when he stepped outside and saw the Tower. Therefore, they view the Mundus as a puzzle-box, that by opening they can learn true enlightenment. Maybe they viewed the Dwemers approach as taking to that puzzle-box with hammer and saw, ignoring the puzzles and destroying it entirely. Maybe. (And if they did have this view, maybe they where wrong, as Vivec apparently achieved Chim, a form of this enlightenment, through Kagrenacs tools and the Heart, plus the Dwemer potentialy zero-summing from the same thing. But then what of Numidium?)

There is a guy called AllinAll and he basically made his own anime plot line of Elder Scrolls based on Coda. That is what I desperately want an Elder Scrolls game about. Basically it would work like this: You play as a character probably in the summerset isles, you get involved into spying on the Thalmor and uncovering their plans. Through out the main quest you slowly uncover that the Thalmor are reconstructing akulakahn/dwemer god, they then will use that to create a new bigger god out of the crystal tower and use it to destroy Nirn. Throughout the game you try and stop them. Towards the end of the game though you fail.... Their plan goes through and they do destroy Nirn and you just sit and watch thinking the game ends with you losing. TWIST engages though and everyone flees though to the moon and there is a brief section of the game where you are on the moon like in Coda. Probably using some magic fckery or Elder Scroll fckery to turn back time and undo everything the Thalmor did and stop them.

The heart laughed. It got revenge. The dwemer betrayed themselves. That heart which was once ripped from Lorkhan in turn rips the heart of the Dwemer from the race.They have left behind their undesirable selves. The beastial, the tribal, the grounded rock kin. Dwemer may be the children of the academic trinimac, the closest to truth and the strongest in mind; synergy. They are also clever, manipulative, ambitious, the opportunistic and striving-to-survive. In this way they are a symphony that emulates not just Trinimac, but the entire story. They are the legacy. In this manner, the Orsimmer complete (?) the take with their direct acknowledgement and worship of Malacath. They are what became of the anuic animus of the dwemer. It is not quite a shezzarine as much as a scar left from the healing of the rip that used to be Dwemer. But these mythic/dawn stories like to echo. The dwemer architecture and proofs still exist, so to some degree, I believe it is not a true zero sum. A zero sum of the conscious, sure. But not of all the context. The context is what makes the Orsimmer who they are. The Nordic connections are interesting, I haven't thought about that too much. Fraudian slip of the universe is the misnomer "dwarf-orc". The phonetic power of words is significant, with all vibrations in the universe. Also, Orc settlements and Dwemer cities are found in the same geographic areas. An orsimmic dream surrounds the mystery of the dwarves. (I am opinionated on it, imo, it's a fun thing! Thank you for the lovely video & I regularly fall asleep to your content. You present as enchanting as the source material!)

I'd argue that every chemical interaction is very predictable, once you know the rules, that's why I love it. Under X temperature, and Y pressure, this combination will do Z... and then, once you konw what Z is, you can plug it back in and predict X or Y. We use this to determine depth of the magma chambers. If we know eruption temperature (which we may have calculated as well, based on other metrics), composition, and we know roughly how much pressure increases with depth... now we know how deep the chamber was, even if the eruption happened 545 million years ago. I was honestly shocked by how straighforward the calculations tend to be.

I don't believe the dwemer became the brass skin. If it needed every single soul to work then why was Yagrum Bagarn left? And why did it activate when used? Also I find it VERY unlikely even impossible that only ONE dwarf was in an outer realm. They must be more. Kagrenc could've erred, the heart chamber had been invaded and Dumac was dead, yet that I find also unlikely as Kagrenac not doubt planned for this. I believe her tried to activate the numidium to help them in the battle but caused a Dragon Break. The time loop theory that the Dwarves are repeating the early Dawn and Myrethic era would explain why they are there. They could also have been jumped forward in time. According to Kirkbride, in his writing, the Dwarves did destroy themselves. However, that was after he was left. I believe a Dragon Break thrust them forward through time. It happened to Alduin so why not the Dwarves? Maybe it was punishment from the divine? Still, and this is an odd thing, I believe the Dwarves want to unmake everything where there is no time so then the decaying effects no longer affect people and things and thus the people of Nirn can sit alongside the gods. Or we are the Dwemer and we made the game from a half remembered dream if you want to get meta.

Yo! Been a while since I commented, but speaking of the dwemer, I was wondering if you have ever thought about making a video on the Sixth House and their connection to House Dwemer. In most accounts of Red Mountain, House Dagoth sides with House Dwemer, calling up hosts of Nords and Orcs to assist them. However, in the Ashlander account (which if you read in-between the lines of certain texts, you'll find is actually probably the most accurate to the battle) Voryn Dagoth is the most trusted ally of Nerevar apart from his generals and wife, Almsivi. Regardless of House Dagoth's relations with the other Great Houses, in ALL ACCOUNTS it is Voryn Dagoth who informs Nerevar of the Anumidium and the Heart of Lorkhan. How did he know it was there, when it is heavily implied that not even Dumac, THE KING OF THE DWEMER, knew about it? It is implied through Chimer Strongholds like Kogoruhn that House Dagoth experimented with the tonal magics, as seen by their odd bell devices near their altars at the heart of these strongholds. Did that allow Houses Dagoth and Dwemer to feel a kinship? I seek the knowledge of the most accomplished scholar in all the Aurbis. Dear Drew, please, enlighten us!😂

Ah my good brother...never forget that Biology, is, 1st and foremost, SELF Organising (for better or worse.....) Hence forth, dive into the words bellow, if any one so wishes, and perceive the following: Least we forget : Symbiogenesis. Lets us not forget brothers and sisters (pardon my "hippyness", if you please), the basis of our human condition, seing IT, in its proper Light. In its proper lesson. In its proper humbleness of co existing Inteligences. These "bodys" called so by the indewling life, are SELF organising innatly inteligent multi tiered and multi leveled cellular confluence of inteligences, responsible for automating trilllllllllions of processes. Fact. From hair growth, down to the many follicles, to immune system response, to bone growth, blood cell production, internal ear canal functioning (plus the wax), neural network functionality, digestive system, intestinal flora village absortion, bacterial dynamics symbiosis, Porphyrins and its profound meaning upon man made electromagnetic pollution. Viral dynamics, aging dynamics, nail growth rate and patterns, enamel maintenance, cellular regeneration, tissue growth, sperm and egg production, sperm and egg inception cellular Self organising/Self building dynamics (i.e pregnancies), hormonal convergence and maintenance, liver and kidneys...etc etc... Indeed...the list is looong indeed. Very long! Whole libraries could be filled with the list of cellular processes that are automated within human Bio verses...and indeed, "we" have! Pregnancies are the most obvious one though...or does the reader think that its the mother that constructs/assembles her baby? 🤔 ....of any species no less!!! Indeed...it is not. Do you Perceive this PI, properly?? Whats a PI, you ask my fellow being? Profound Insight. Calcification? Neural network growth? Digestive system? Genetic memmory inprints??? Again....the list IS loooooooooong indeed As such, PI: "An *Inbound* cellular inteligence, in confluence, potentialy manifests, dictated by biological "restraints" (neural network conception etc etc etc et cuetra, a confluence of diverse cellular inteligences) an *outbound* emergent sapiance. "" us "" Hence, we have an indewling abstract (..."""energy"""...) form of awhareness in Symbiosis with a highly complex eoooons old, self organising, cellular inverted Universe. Proud of "our"/" your" inteligence???? Hardly "ours" to beguin with!!! Rather...at "heart" , again ill put it more succintly, a series of cellular Inteligences that in Confluence, potentialy manifest a biological form of sentience. Hence a co operation, a Symbiosis of an *outbound* "Human personality" and *inbound* Self Organising Inteligences. Self Evident Fact. With that in mind......These Biologies know well of the meaning of the Atom structure. Indeed, since cellularly, They work upon it!! These eyes, yours, dear brother and sister, dear Being that reads these words have looooooooong known the nature of Light and its secrets. After all, the Self organising cellular retina, moving by itself, does one hell of a job!....or indeed...IT, The BIOverse "you" inhabit, might not have been birthed with retinas. Among the Quizzzzzilion of cellular Self Organisation processes....many mysteries/issues/problems arise. BIO Lo Gy...should not be taken quite so for granted... Only a Parent would know the depth of this PI... But i digress.......at any rate, indeed..."Bio tech" (Self Organising Human Biology, inbound confluence of Inteligences) is SO amasing, thats it been copied on to cameras etc etc other devices made by us! No comment of Beehive structures (hezagono) and flys eyes! Or dragon flys wings! Indeed...the true wonders of creation will never cease to amase... Oh indewling compartmentalised life force......we are surrounded by the infinity of the Fractals of Self Organisation... Multi Dimensional. Do you remenber? (Namaste...) Indeed...........these Complex organisation chains of Living matter, DNA, know, generally speaking, very well what, IT, is doing...or most of us would have Down syndrome🤔...among other particularities of These Self organising Biologies in terms of neurological impediments and birth abnormalities....etc etc etc etc etc etc looooong list of defects...which possibly came from the more recent catastrophy that nearly wiped out these Biologies (and many others) 11.800 years ago or more🤔 That said, it does make me want to state the following statement: War is...... ......vastly out dated. In clear breach of the respect a Civilised being should have for the Toroidal Fractals of Self Organisation. If, IF, Eugenics is to be done, it is done by respecting the Fractals. Not by Forced Biological death. Unless said Incarnation so wishes. Nonetheless...it is the obvious use of vesectomys that is the anwser. Gold given in exchange or fiat currency, for having a vesectomy. Fair play? Population control indeed... Hence...one way or another...by direct introspection or indirect study's via microscope etc etc of these Biologies relation to Quantum matter, etc, etc... it all elucidates a very profound Aspect looooong known by the really ancient civilizations of other Human biologies... The Symbiotic Self Organising Toroidal nature of the Universe...circlely awhare of "one another"... S y m b i o g e n e s i s In other words...."ALL" is known For all is already known within the complex aspects of Self organising Biology....but....does the indewling life know? Hence the deepest Koan being... The Symbiosis between Self organising aspects of the Multiverse and .....""us"".

See, I took the ethos knife and axe line to be something of a metaphor akin to jobs with hats. Nerevar took off his warrior hat (the axe) and put on his philosopher hat (the knife) and began contemplating ethics as a philosopher instead of doing his job as a warrior. This pissed off ALMSIVI because they were trying to capitalize on the opportunity of the moment and not worry about the ethics of the situation because stealing fire from the gods could pay dividends for the Dunmer as a whole. Not sure how this plays into City Face’s story though. Also Sotha Sil’s “Inconstant Spirit” line is legit my favorite put down or the Daedric Princes ever. I love using that

My personal theory is that the dwarves became their machines. I believe that the god of creation in the elder scrolls cursed the entire race when they had tried to make their machine god, by making them into their own machines. Unfortunately NM was also created through this process as an unforeseen side effect because the gods in TES are not infallible.

I wonder if the origin of the dwemer is from the same daedra as the dunmer but far separate in time, both are very unique culture, both are elves, both are mostly found near red mountain, what could be their differencen in their peoples creation is one couldves left out faith almost like atheist(obviously they know God's exist they just don't treat them as) and the other has a type of religion, and that explains why the dwemer don't have any connection to the daedra and it was so long ago of their creation they couldve fully separated from daedra and such leaving their origin a mystery they were in tamriel long before any other elf, basically making the dwemer a failed attempt of the daedra(forgot her name) to make a strong race to pass the test of nurn. But thats just a neat theory

After years of TES lore, this is the first time I've understood the Dwemer concept of how space-time-reality is on a continuum, that unmaking and uncreation are simply returning mortal material back to the other end of that continuum. Delicious. 😎💛
