One of the few good things about the internet, is that it brings out alot of creativity in communities like this. Its amazing what people have done with these things. When you consider how boring emulation used to be. Just a shame, that many of these ideas that were originally in hacking communities, were stolen by commercial products, and they gave the original idea creators of these things no respect, or mention at all. Look at how xbmc shaped, media online streaming. Nice video, i have turned away from the raspberry pi really, but these images are nice for those who still want to use such mini computers.

you can get a cocktail table with pinball button holes drilled, one at each side. Closest i've found.

It's why I've not attempted to get the 512gb image which looks fantastic. Currently running the CRT Blast 128gb image for my Pi4 which took an eternity 🙁

This a great set up and the images are great only issue i have is the distribution of them. He/they make it very difficult and you have to jump through so many hoops . got to join two forums , discord, passwords you got to read pages and pages to find out, get admin permissions, create two accounts. links.... and then even once you jump through all the hoops and finally get to down load an image there is yet another password you gotta go back to the forums to find... its a bit much. not sure why they have made it so difficult to get these images. cant sign up with vpn. the torrents are keyed to each user and so on... its over kill. it took me couple days to get all the permissions and joined to everything. And then it still wasn't exactly clear what you were suppose to do. I guess what im saying is it could be made a tad bit easier to get to the images.

You probably can, at places like Etsy, but they will charge you a small fortune for them. Putting together a Retro Pie is not that difficult, especially if you are only going to be using a controller and a monitor to play the games. It is when you start building arcade cabinets that the job gets a little more daunting (but not much). There are plenty of tutorials here on how to build a nice little Retro pie with a case. Maybe start with a Raspberry Pi 3B plus, and work from there.

I use the 512gb image on my OGA BE. The snaps and art run great on Emulec 3.7

@@mcinnocent yeah but I'm using someone else's work. Just get 3.7 use raspberry imager to flash it to an SD card put it in your OGA turn it on and wait for it to expand then put the card in a reader copy each of VMAN rom folders to your SD card "storage" in Raspberry pi OS from an NTFS USB drive. Copy and paste. After you put the card back in navigate to Scumm and scan games then reboot.

Agree with some of the comments in here. As much as this is a good job,the community involved dont help as much as they can or should do,its not easy for some people to set this up and look for help. The images released are difficult to get due to private servers ,passwords,discord channels etc. And still to this day ive not seen a total noob tutorial in setting all this up on a Pi from the absolute start.

The way the size of the pre-made images are increasing it's actually giving me a heart attack. Seriously guys, why don't anyone remove all the duplicates, same games different names, all redundant versions across systems. And why doesn't someone make a definitive version ROM? There are virtually at least 20 versions of the same game with 100 duplicates and another 1000 with the same gameplay. All the ports of the same game are different. Mostly bad, some average and rarely better then arcades. Noone can play more than 1000-2000 games. Why the heck we have 10000-20000 games??? I respect the creator's work. But, I really want a ROM that doesn't waste my time and have the best versions of the games. And I would also like to skip all the bad games and just play above-average games in the limited time I have. Is there anything remotely available like that out there? Or, is someone actually working on something like that?

@@SMASHINGblargharghar 😀 Yeah, I am been trying to do that for the last 6 months(covid time). And I am still not finished. I have a pi 3b. And the first 2 months were just collecting all rom versions, hacks, homebrews, prototypes. Then I took particular systems and started looking at review sites, editorials, KZbin reviews etc for those games and started taking out the duplicates, same game different name versions etc. Finally, just kept the good games (above average ratings) and deleted all others. Again I looked at multiple sites for review of the same game in case it was bordering average. Because many times even rating sites are not 100% correct. So, in those cases I personally played them to see if they are worth keeping. It was done with all the systems. Once the number decreased, I then started with keeping the best version of common games across systems (snes,tg,pc engine,megadrive/genesis,nee msx etc). This includes hacks as well. In hacks a lot of bugs have been squashed and so if I am playing it for the first time, I want the best bug-less version. I even compared the best versions of games with home brews(I couldn't find all the homebrews though). I am yet to touch pspmini, n64 roms. All other system have been done. I am currently stuck with arcades section and comparing it to the best same games across systems so that I only have the best version/versions with difference. I not have sweeped the roms across systems 3 times to root out the bestest version.But all arcade games are not the best and a lot of games have a wired long screen with small breath screen ratio that makes some games less enjoyable then homeports. So, I kept those. It still is not finished. There are games where the Japanese versions have more content then US or European releases so I just kept the translated Japanese versions and deleted others. There are many other things that have been taken into consideration. I started with a total of 130GB content (including pics videos etc). After deleting the junk I am left with around 65GB of data. Major chunk is from PSX games around 27GB. And I am still not finished. Hopefully I might be able to get something that I like to have and won't need to think twice before firing up a game. I only want the best versions that don't waste my time. Also, don't want to miss a game worthy of being played. Nostalgia is not a factor for me except some NES,DOS & Atari 2600 games.I really wanted something similar out there which could have made my work easier but it was not there.

Crt pi4 image. Top picks. Awesome image man. Base images been around for years. Why you have to download another set of rompacks?? Extract what you want from the dozens of images in your pc for crying out loud.

@@reysantiago8143 I actually began with a premade 16GB image. But that was quite limited. So I downloaded a pipiggies torrent and selected the systems I wanted to start off. That torrent is pretty good. But it still didn't have all the hacks, homebrews and had omitted certain games. So, all those games had been added for a basic base. Then the curing had started. And just recently "rick dangerous" Rom with 1000 games had been released which is a much better image IMHO if anyone want to get good games without much headache.

I love this image I downloaded the 512gb and all the packs.......ps if you transfer the add on games to ssd.... make sure you delete them from the card..... my only problem I cant get sega saturn to run in full speed. They are very slow
