It can definitely work just as well with a resistance band! You'll just want to make sure you have it set at the same relative height you see in the video 👍

NGL this just looks like a really solid way to waste a lot of energy not working out your triceps effectively.

What about the next day when I want to do back what I can't excel at it since my biceps are fatigued and they are heavily involved when we want to blast the back.

try reversing it rather than cycling. that way you get the eccentric and concentrics of both.

It can be difficult to get the form right. They biggest key is to have the cable set high enough to provide resistance during the triceps extension phase. If it's too low, you won't be pushing against any resistance. But if it's too high, you won't get sufficient resistance during the bicep curl phase. It may take a minute to find the sweet spot 👍

tricep works best when you’re closer to the machine so it is loaded properly, take of the band and see the pump won’t be the same.

My problem with these kinds of exercises is that my triceps can handle more load than my biceps. If I try this workout, my biceps would give out before I can train my triceps to failure since I am using the same weight for both muscle groups.

You loose the most important part of each movement. The eccentric, the downward motion of each movement. These have been tried many, many years ago. Anything new to the body works for the very short term. This just a gimmick.

The eccentric for the tricep is activated in the high bicep curl and the eccentric for the bicep is performed in the downward push, what are you talking about?
@brucemckay7828
@brucemckay7828 11 ай бұрын
@nateybopeep1020 you have no clue. You can't concentric activate the bicep and at the same time eccentrically activate the triceps Try it.

@@brucemckay7828 you can't "eccentrically activate" any muscles, you're clueless. Muscles only contract, you need to look up what an antagonist muscle is

Why would you wear blood flow restriction bands while working out? You want MORE blood flow to the muscles you’re working.
@DrGains
@DrGains Жыл бұрын
Good question. When BFR is properly done, you restrict blood flow AWAY from a region by closing off venous flow, but don't restrict blood flow TO the region, leaving arterial flow (which is much deeper) running. The pressure should ideally be between your systolic and diastolic blood pressures. The effect is significantly more blood in the region you're working, and it allows you to work the muscle with light weight and lower total volume, but still get the same hypertrophic and strength gains as you would with high-load lifting. If you look up blood flow restriction training on pubmed, you'll find hundreds of studies confirming its incredible effects 👍

@dionysianapollomarx
@dionysianapollomarx Жыл бұрын
@@JohnnyPepere not quite. It’s still useful. You’ll get more blood flow over time. The response of your circulatory system is to add more blood vessels to the area of occlusion. It works regardless if you’re injured or not. You can test it, apply occlusion training alternating with regular training between rest days. It works. It’s not useless. Especially if your goal is hypertrophy not strength.
