I love that you are unafraid to put the necessary details concerning these kinds of topics in your videos. It is much needed to see the research and sources when looking into these kinds of treatments. It's how you can tell that you are not just out there selling an image or just playing into hype. You are really showing people what they need to know and I am grateful for that.

It's been used on Chinese acupuncture practice over 40 years. I had my first red light treatment back in 1990 on my right leg and my back when I injured myself at school. I didn't believe it at first, but it reduced inflammation right away. I mean within 40 minutes under the lights.

“A total of 136 volunteers participated in this prospective, randomized, and controlled study. Of these volunteers, 113 subjects randomly assigned into four treatment groups were treated twice a week with either 611-650 or 570-850 nm polychromatic light (normalized to ∼9 J/cm2 in the range of 611-650 nm) and were compared with controls (n=23). Irradiances and treatment durations varied in all treatment groups. The data collected at baseline and after 30 sessions included blinded evaluations of clinical photography, ultrasonographic collagen density measurements, computerized digital profilometry, and an assessment of patient satisfaction.” -2014, NIH The treatments varied for each subject, and were performed (from what I assume) not by a “at home treatment” (like the masks sold online). The results do sound great, but how similar are they to at home device?

I have been using Celluma pro device since 2019 almost daily. My skin looks incredible, people think I wear foundation, but I don’t. That’s how amazing red light therapy is. Learned this from my mother in law who had parkinson and was using a Red light device for her tremors. Her skin transformation was unbelievable. This was in 2007. She got this machine from South Korea at that time. Red light therapy definitely works if we use it consistently.

Dr. Linkov, I have had many IPL treatments over the the last 28 years, as I had a very advanced case of Rosacea. I had always had Rosacea, but entering my 4th decade it worsened dramatically. My dermatologist began IPL treatments and the Rosacea cleared. Later treatments also cleared the broken capillaries etc. My skin has dramatically improved as I have continued to have 3 or 4 Broadband treatments a year throughout the years.I have reaped many benefits from this technology! My very oily skin has calmed and, although it remains oily it's not as bad. Overall my skin looks great.......I believe in this technology!!!!
@ruthie_rosario

Same. My skin began looking “off” and I couldn’t pin point exactly what it was, but using a 10x magnified mirror, I saw that I had a bunch of thread veins, and without the magnifying mirror, I realized I had dilated capillaries (which many people inaccurately describe as “broken” capillaries) around my eyes, which was giving the illusion of dark circles. IPL completely got rid of the small dilated capillaries in one session, and the larger ones were gone after 3. They haven’t came back since. Unfortunately, we were able to pinpoint that tretinoin was the cause of my the small thread veins. My skin handled the tretinoin well, but any little scrape or touch pressure in one area would immediately result in thread veins. So I had to stop so that they wouldn’t come back after tretinoin. Inadvertently, the nasolabial folds I was beginning to notice over the last few years were dramatically reduced 4 weeks after a single ipl session. I did a second IPL session about 6 weeks later, and now my nasolabial folds are completely gone. I didn’t think or know that could even happen. Now my skin looks as it did when I was 23! I am a big believer in IPL. I will never do fillers because I think it looks highly unnatural, and there’s too much room for error with filler. Plus, we now know that filler doesn’t actually fade away within 6-24 months as previously believed; It migrates slowly and most people don’t really notice. So they keep filling, then it continues to migrate, and you get buildup that can last a decade. Scary

My shoulder, back, and foot pain is significantly better immediately after use. I also use it after workouts to speed recovery in addition to my theragun, perfect duo. I have 3 small panels from Mitored and love them. I pay 2x a month to use a red light therapy bed which I would own if I could afford one. RLT helps heal wounds and get rid of bruises. That I can attest to. I just wish it worked to lighten hyperpigmentation, havent noticed that yet.

I recently got and started using a MitoRed Adapt Mid panel. It uses four wavelengths that you can customize. I’m not sure about face but definitely noticing a short term improvement on my lower back. I have only been using for a little over a week but for the first time in many many years I can get a few hours of little to no pain. It has been worth the cost for that alone. I am excited to see how much it will help. It certainly is promising enough to keep me on schedule.

@@joyshuman2727 Hi. At this point I have been using the panel almost two months and see bigger improvements. I had an odd but significant back injury that dr’s say in most people would have, at least, blown up to three and maybe four discs. I have hyper mobility in my joints so my back was affected differently. It is the lower area at the bottom of my back. Imagine where your dimples on lower back are. My injury was straight across from one dimple to the other. I tore muscles, ligaments, etc under both of those areas. I have nerve endings, muscles, etc protruding through the tear which is really bad. There is no surgery to correct this. I also screwed up the area around the discs and now have arthritis in those discs along with the painful area on the sides. I generally always get the nerve block injections every three months to be able to function at all. Since using red light panel the last few months I was able to extend the time between injections to four months. I know it doesn’t sound like much but is HUGE to me. And this is after only using it a few months.

I will be continuing botox and tretinoin as well. Based on other KZbinr reviews of RLT it seems to have some anti-aging effect but is not a miracle treatment on its own. I used it according to manufacturers instructions, (actually a little less often) and after 6 months, I have two large brown spots on my cheeks, that were not there before using the mask. It’s going to require expensive laser treatments to attempt to undue the damage caused by the red light mask. I am not the only one. There are many who are commenting on YT that they are experiencing skin discoloration and brown spots from red light masks. There is no possibility of it causing cancer. Any (if any) adverse side effects would be very minor and fleeting. Tiredness immediately after treatment is a common one, although overall it increases energy. There are some people who are extremely sensitive to light, who may experience headaches or nausea, in which case lower the dosage or stop. I experienced this myself a couple of times and discovered my goggles weren't enough at those times. I put one of those cloth sleep masks on and it stopped the problem. Normally I just close my eyes and it is fine. There is also a small number of people that the light won't have any effect at all on. Not recommended for anyone taking a photo-sensitizing drug (including tetracycline, doxycycline, hydrochlorothiazide, naproxen) If you have open lesions on your skin confirm they are not cancerous before photobiomodulation. If you have lupus it may be helpful, but you must consult with your doctor (according to mylupusteam).

There is a risk of cancer from 280nm-400nm which is ultraviolet light. This uv light you can get from sunlight (the ozone filters out the shortest waves). Red light has much longer waves 620nm-700nm, while near infa red waves are even longer 700nm-1400nm There is no risk of this range causing cancer.

Quick correction regarding LEDs. Individual LED's are not omni directional. In order to have an omni directional LED it requires many arrays of them and a series of diffusers. Its actually one of the main reason why when people just swap LED lightbulbs into their headlights without changing the the headlight assembly as well it causes the scatter pattern to blind other drivers. The LEDS are no centered on the focal point like a halogen light is.

Even after this short time, I have seen the pores on my nose get smaller, my neck has gotten firmer and I had a little finger nail fungus completely disappear. It is the most relaxing 20 minutes I can spend. I lay naked on a table (the door is locked obvs) and I spend 10 mins on my back and then 10 mins on my stomach. I have tried Botox, IPL, Potenza, fillers and TCA peels. I’d put red light and near Infared right at the top of my anti aging techniques. Tomorrow should be interesting because I am going to go again tomorrow morning and then do a Muay Thai class at 1 pm. I am excited to see if the red light gives me more energy. Even if it doesn’t the physical changes I have seen throughout my body thus far have convinced me. This is my two cents, thanks for reading and talking about this technology.

I cannot be the only one that did Dr Evils 'lasers' every time the word was mentioned 🤣. Very informative video, thank you!

I purchased a solawave mask 2.5 months ago. Been using it 5 days a week, and also cut sugar/ bread/pasta from my diet, and lost 9 pounds. My face looks amazing. Very happy with it.

All I can tell you is I had nagging rotator cuff issues no amount of PT was going to fix (one year post injury). After two months of red laser therapy it’s like I had a new rotator cuff.

Thank you dr Linkov, I’ve watched a few videos made by dermatologists and they are were praising the masks and recommending the masks the companies paid them to advertise. I haven’t heard anything quite that extensive.

I have a hand held red light by LightStim. Is it good to use. Unfortunately I bought it then a year later stopped using 😞. I guess its time to start back once I’m healed from my co2 treatment

I heard that you should avoid direct light when having a transplant? Would red light be fine to improve healing after a transplant?
