Survive the Jive - thanks for the very interesting question. I think that whenever people (of any gender) are discriminated against because of their gender there is a knock on effect that could have health implications.

Let's not forget that the relationship between gender and health must also include race and age. A black or Hispanic male will likely experience greater health inequities as will an older white verses a younger white female.

Really? I find this form of advertising better than most. He's not offering you a free trial that you'll forget to cancel for something irrelevant. It's always an educational sponsor. A school or university. This was the first one of his videos I think I've seen where he got someone from the school that was sponsoring him to talk about the subject but I enjoyed it. I mean he brought a DR. who teaches about this stuff. I feel like that that was a good utilization of that sponsor. I mean you're not going to get youtube videos without sponsors. Most of those ads are much longer and out of the blue than this. Oh, and I am actually here from a class. We get videos from this guy like every week and I enjoy all of them. Thanks, Greg.

You are yourself advocating for inequities when you name "FGM" and imply that this unfairly affects women and girls. When you say FGM is expected of women and girls you are making a false construction as the "F" is superfluous and so it should be "GM is expected of women and girls". The "F" is added to avoid the fact that the practice of cutting (GM), affects far more men and boys than it does women and girls, both in number and in severity. This is discrimination against men and boys who suffer the physical and mental health consequences of ritual penectomy, which can be very unfortunate eg death. While there are many services offering treatment and counciling of female victims of GM there are virtually none for male. While most countries legal systems treat the practice on girls as a serious crime giving long custodial sentences to those found guilty, every single country in the world condones the practice on boys. As a result of this inequity boys die all over the world including in the developed world not least USA from the immediate consequences of bleeding, infections etc. and the longer term eg suicide. This is in strong contrast to girls where there is the occasional death in Africa. If ever there was an inequity in health this must be the one and you are promoting it!

That, you statement at that time stamp, is what I call "narrative taint", meaning that after that statement, everything else that you say will be ideological and not scientific, because now your audience knows that your words come from ideology not scientific research.
