❤ I have sold art works to the Bank of Scotland in London , Doctors Surgeries , Psychiatrist office, two Major wineries , a supreme court which ( to my knowledge) have never led to further sales.

This. I have read NOT to do do this, that it rarely leads to sales, and that instead of sales to doctors, attorneys, etc., they come to expect to have have artwork on their walls for free, so when you remove yours, they just move on to have the next artist waiting in the wings come in and hang up their work.

what a shit is to be an artist in Latin America specially if you do dark surrealism... but damn! I need to try the doctor's one

I think you're on to something with the doctor's office idea. Artist would probably be better off targeting doctor's offices in more affluent neighborhoods where the patients might have more disposable income. Why limit yourself to doctor's offices? Any office that has a waiting room and good traffic flow would be good and who knows what these relationships could lead to? Look at David Choe who as a struggling graffiti artist was asked to decorate the walls of the first Facebook office and decided to be paid with stock instead of cash.

Smart remark. I thought about that Facebook guy when making this video actually. Massive story, I've covered it in another video on the channel. And yeah your comment makes the video better for sure. I should've point that out to put it in high net worth neighborhoods!

How do artist display art at a doctors office?
@DK-jg5vk
@DK-jg5vk 6 ай бұрын
@@jdos5643 You simply approach the doctor or the office manager and ask them if they would be interested in replacing their tacky generic hotel art prints with your vibrant creative original works of art. If permitted to do so, inform the staff that once the doctor's patients begin inquiring about the beautiful art work, they should mention that the work is for sale. You should consider giving the office a cut of the sale (just like a gallery would do). The doctor might tell all of his doctor buddies about your arrangement and they may begin to want to work with you as well. I would think a dentist's office might be just as good.

@driesketels, what about medical testing centres? Many People do definitely spend time there. The only drawback that I can see is that they are staffed by medical technicians and nurses, not doctors. I know a lawyer. Should I talk to him about such a thing? He is in a larger "cabinet d'avocats" so I expect that someone else would have the decision power. But that would require an introduction and a portfolio.

1:00 thousands of views to thousands of poor working people and students rushing to their jobs and their schools who spend almost all their money for rent, bills and food with no disposable income left for anything except maybe for a TV and internet subscription. The second group would be high school and college students who have no disposable income except to buy corn chips at the subway station and to pay room and board at their University and to ride that subway. So those thousands of views would be all quantity with close to zero quality. 😂😅😅😂😂😂

Here is the real reason you may not consider to sell on those art platforms. Many of them take about 35% from the sale price of your artwork. if the platform brought you customers to see and buy your artwork that may be fine. But that is not the case. You are the one who is expected to bring YOUR customer to the platform and then the platform is charging about 35% after you brought YOUR customer to the platform. Something to consider.

I have already 3 doctors who saw my paintings and ask me to put some artworks in their office. 😊 I mean it. It s not a joke! I gavve two acrylic cardboards to my psych. doc. and he like them. I ve showed some photos from my phone with my paintings to another two doctors and they wish to have some of them on their walls in their office. It s a good idea for marketing the artworks. At least we can be known in local area. Who knows when and where the luck will hit us? Bless you!

So far I've only made about $3000 per year, but have only been full time since October 2023. One question I am asking you or anyone else out there - The market maybe saturated but not so much when it comes to very large scale work - anyone else notice that? Thank you for the valuable info!

Mmm, then I would have turned them down. It no longer was a marketing opportunity for your art; instead he rented your art on his walls for free. Edit: it makes me suspicious of his ethics as a financial planner. I bet he was not fiduciary and sold investments that were not necessarily in the best interest of his clients because he was getting commissions.

I have totally already thought about doing this! I originally got the idea because I have a vision impairment and I would be waiting in the doctors office at the ophthalmologist, and they had these big bold pictures that were made for people with low vision.… I thought about offering to hang my art in there as a reminder to myself and other people with vision loss that I could still do some form of visual art.… And being a patient there, would enhance the Recognition of that particular doctors office.… Also some hospitals in my area have small galleries, and showcase art. This is a very interesting concept to me!

There is a hospital here in the town I live, they have a section with a small gallery in it. I went there to get a radiology procedure and in the lobby they even had a live musician playing piano… One of the volunteers asked me if I would be interested in checking out the exhibition. I guess they feature local artists, not sure what the criteria is, at the time I just saw it as a part of the philanthropy of that hospital. But I want to go see it again and ask about how to get involved!
