I love how stealth the final form looks! I picked up that headlight based off this build, and not needing a stepdown makes wiring so simple lol

I like how u did the tensioner
@Todd_G_FPV11 ай бұрын
I did this a couple years ago with a 48v kit, couldnt get enough traction so i bought a set of front wheels for back and just put one on, slid and gripped well!
@terryj25711 ай бұрын
I wish you had a welder. Cuz i would love to see to each of the front two wheels to be powered by its own motor. It would also be awesome to see motors on it powerful enough to spin all four wheels so you can do cyclone doughnuts till you're dizzy.

Any advice for adding larger air tires for off road

Geared mine at 15t motor and 30t axles, did like 33mph topped out!

put some washer on the rear axle nuts mate

lol I actually purposely did not on this one since I wanted to pinch the spacers I made in place.

I'd suggest 9T front sprocket and a larger sprocket at the axle. Would also recommend doing a disc brake mod. That band brake (at least on the drifter I did) was terrible.
@PatOutdoors11 ай бұрын
Isn’t the original sprocket a 9T on these smaller motors anyway? I agree with the band brake being horrible.. have you done a disc conversion on this type of cart before?
@DescartesRenegade11 ай бұрын
@@PatOutdoors yes. But on the version with live axle. I'm sure yours is different. I had to custom machine a hub with the key way, ground out a slot for the disc rotor and mount custom caliper bracket to battery tray area

Does anybody know what size is the rod the steering wheel attaches to

hey pat, question about mx650, i have the 5000w kit from e&c and im planning to get a 72v 40ah 100bms with a 14t front sprocket and factory rear sprocket, how fast do you think i would go? thanks in advanced
@PatOutdoors11 ай бұрын
How much do you weigh and what is your exact rear tire size and type? Probably 45+ MPH
@rainbow6replay73311 ай бұрын
200lbs and all factory setup besides the kit and 14t front sprocket

U have the gokart version, the drift version like i had, had a live axle so one plastic wheel and one rubber was perfect ti slide at 30mph! Lol
@PatOutdoors11 ай бұрын
Right, otherwise I wouldn’t have to mod the axle! Just wanted to see what needed to be fabricated to make it work
@Todd_G_FPV11 ай бұрын
@PatOutdoors that works man, u ought to buy a set of front wheels and take the bearing out of one and put in on the back with a plastic on the opposite side, so much better once u start pushing higher speeds with this thing!
@Todd_G_FPV11 ай бұрын
@@PatOutdoors I slid out constantly with both being plastic once I hit about 25 lol

Nope! I don’t expect it to, but might as well use it up before it’s trashed for another upgrade
