Great video! This is on the list for my new chassis, as with one track day, the gearbox is already making funny noises! Highly recommend the 2.5 gearbox swap if you already have a 2.0!

Hey bro. Awesome chanel. I bought an rmx 2.0 whike back. Im new to rc drift and never understood why it doesnt come with reverse. Do i need to buy a new motor and esc or is there something i can do with the radio? Such a noob question i know but i want to get back into drifting. Also im thinking of building my 2nd ever drift car. What do you recommend coming out of a mst rmx 2.0.? Thanks brother

Thanks man! You should be able to program your ESC to allow for reverse, or brake and then reverse, however you prefer. I would stick with the RMX and learn the hobby a bit more before jumping into another chassis right away.

@turtlelaboratories gotcha. Yea thats the problem that im having. I dnt know how to program my esc. I have a yeah racing hacktronic. I can find any info online on it bcuz its outdated I guess. Some people have told me i need a program card but can't find that online also smh. I might have to upgrade my esc to current standards. When i first build the kit i bought high quality electronics thinking i would future proof my build lol.

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with the RRX, so I cannot speak to that.

What do you like better overall? RMX 2.0, Sakura D5, YD-2?

Personally, I favor my Redcat RDS over any of them. I like the Sakura D5 if you're trying to keep the budget lower. I would avoid the RMX 2.0 due to the transmission gearing, but the 2.5 is a solid car. I don't have top much experience with the Yokomo, but they are highly regarded in the drift world, and my buddy's YD2s is a good running machine.

It is in the same configuration as the 2.5, making the 2.0 much more stout.

@@turtlelaboratories thanks. I've been trying to find the plastic version of the transmission case, but can't find it. I went and ordered the aluminum version of amain hobbies. $90 and it's the complete transmission. It's on sale now.

@@TheAusherGuy Wow that is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than when I was shopping for one. I just hate that we have to spend so much to make it reliable as other chassis' out there.

@@turtlelaboratories I think they're trying to clear out the 2.0 inventory. The rrx kit is $110 on amain Right now and I got one of those too.

@@turtlelaboratories it does suck having to pay to get parts that it should of came with in the first place for these mst drift cars, but upgrading parts is part of the fun in building these. I think mst has the nicest looking drift chassis of all the drift cars. I don't mind paying for upgrades when they're on sale.
