i think it's super dumb that you show up on radar when shooting the ballistic knife. It's already a pain in the ass to use. Might as well make it silent so that if I miss a shot the guy I'm chasing doesn't turn around

Wolf Yiu I didn't say it was hard to use. I almost have gold within a day or two of using it. I said it was a pain in the ass. I can use it decently, but sometimes hit detection on it feels crappy and enemies that I should have gotten end up screwing me over when they see me on the map. I guess I'm just more used to the tomahawk's mechanics and it not showing up on radar.

This is my favorite weapon in the whole game. I love the adrenaline rush of seeing someone, rushing up and stabbing them before they even know I'm there (I hate that auto shotgun though). It did take some time to master the shoot or stab reflex, but once you get that down, you can really wreck everything. You become a wild card of the battlefield, potentially taking down a whole group of enemies just by rushing around and stabbing before they even know you're there. all in all, the most fun gun

They should put red dot, acog, ballistics CPU, FMJ, long barrel, grip, stock, and iron sights as attachments for this weapon and they should all do absolutely nothing but impede the user's vision. Just to troll.

in my opinion, the arc is great on the ballistic knife, because it is a 1 shot kill no matter where you hit them, aiming for the head or chest normally gets them except across map shots.

Drift0r, not to correct you or anything, but the ballistic knife doesn't shoot the knife as people may think but in fact shoot the blade of the knife using gas power. People also may get confused with a spring knife which essentially does the same thing except with less range because it uses a spring to project the blade

In MW2 I was hooked up with Marathon (unlimited sprinting), lightweight, and commando. I used a Desert Eagle w/ tactical knife, and I was flying and stabbing like crazy

Pro-Knifer Tips: Tip 1: There's a delay after recovering from a sprint, use dexterity to quickly pull up your knife and shoot the blade. Tip 2: Use toughness! You have no idea how much easier it makes shooting the blade.

If you fire the ballistic knife and press reload at the same time or very fast after firing it, it will rechamber the knife mich faster allowing for quicker shots, this was the same in Black Ops 1 when I found this little trick but it didn't change in Black Ops 2 :)

Flanking with a knife in general is a good tactic, but I prefer the rushing and the one on one engagements. Back when I was in a cast all I used was a knife because I could not am or move properly so knifing was my best option. Knifing in general is not that hard, I guess you just need to get a good feel for it. I guess what I am trying to say is that you can also get into one on one engagements and still be on an even playing field with someone who has a shotgun.

Picked up the ballistic knife today, here's a class for people who want to know where to start: No Primary Ballistic Knife (obviously) Lightweight + Ghost Scavenger + (Use Cold blooded instead of lightweight if the enemy is using dual band/target finder, or Fast hands if you use the tomahawk a lot) Dead silence + Dexterity Perk Greeds for whichever perks you are using If you have points left over, Tomahawk and Tactical Insertion (not to be campy, but you can put your tac around a corner \/Cont\/

Also each tactical knife has a difference lunge range/stab speed. Kap-40 and B23R have the longest lunge, five-seven and tac 45 have the shortest.

Well its possible by reloading a weapon and running or switching ur weapon before the full animation's completed. Say u have a LSAT u put in the ammo n wait for the ammo count to be at its max before you run. Hope this helps!

Executioner with tac knife is actually the fastest stab animation, not the combat knife. Also the ballistic knife can be reloaded very quickly by tapping X (Square on PS3) as you fire, and then sprint-cancelling.

When you buff a gun or any weapon , it doesn't only mean that the damage gets increased. In this case, I agree with WhoaNellyJake in the fact that treyarch should buff the ballistic knife in terms of rate of fire, or how when one shoots with it they appear on radar.

Yep, melee kills count for it so my suggestion would be playing Sticks and Stones if you're looking to get the BK/Crossbow gold, it only took me a few hours to get both of them gold from pretty much scratch

that's because you probably dont't use dexterity: in fact, if you use that perk, you can fire the blades as soon as you pull the trigger while sprinting. sorry for my bad english, im italian. i hope this helped you

You can take out Guardians with this knife as well but the trick (as far as I know) is that you have to hit the speaker portion of the Guardian with one hit and it's gone and you get the 125 pts I discovered this in FINE FASHION the other night. I actually got 225 points Guardian plus a camper kill (with Hardline) and took screenshots to prove it. (need to try and upload the video) I've taken out two since then. I love this knife.

A trick most knifers from Black Ops 1 know thats also in this game is to ALWAYS hold the square button. its like having sleight of hand built in. never do it when on top the dead persons body tho cuz you may accidently pick up their weapon(: This trick helps tremendously in sticks & stones.

Ace Knife its also helpful if ur against a sniper. In a scenario where both sniper and knifer see each at the same time, the knifer an extremely small window in when u can land a shot on them, its when they have to stand still and quickscope u. If the sniper misses than the quick reload trick comes in handy and its a battle and see who lands the shot first.

You got it wrong, he uses scavenger so he doesn't run out of throwing knives/axes. You just need to run over a used knife to recover it.

I watched the eentire video and dont remember you talkign about this, but if youd id im sorry. how long does the projectile take to leave the chamber? when im in a search and i get a killcam of me turning on someone or "whipping" the ballistic knife to get the kill it shows me shooting early and looks as if i didnt mean to hit him. just wanted to make sure im not getting lucky and just taking full advantage of the knife.

I rock the Ballistic Knife WITHOUT a gun (just the secondary with perks). I call it my PSYCHO class. 16 Kills is the most I've gotten in TDM with just the knife. Plenty of Double, Triple and Bloodthristy medals.

Really? Drift0r brought me up from a player who got a dragonfire on occasion to a player who gets lodestars, warthogs and K9 Units with some frequency. I used to always use scavenger for my classes. Now I can pick up any gun off of the ground and know how to use it.

Do you have a video on why people don't always drop a weapon? I like to play Search and Destroy with a combat knife and just scavenge guns, but even when I get the kill myself and try to find a gun it isn't there. I find it strange and maybe just a weird glitch, but it's very common and I can't find anything on it.
